Vive la Crêpe! reviews
18Good place to relax after walking in the Central Park. Good light food and coffee with crepes
There is seems to be no supervision in the store. People who work there for the first day (literally) work without supervision and certainly don't know what they are doing. Cashier seems overworked and simply rude. Crepe ended up been overcooked
Whoever is making the crêpe batter needs to check with corporate because the crêpes are dry.
About 10: 00 a.m. On Wednesday morning when he visited. Not too many customers at the moment. Gentleman behind the counter quickly took our order and got to work on our Crepes. It was fun to watch him as he started to build each of them. Great coffee. Enjoy your Crepes and coffee while sitting outside nice sitting area. Very enjoyable. Crepes delicious.
Creeps with a great variety of toppings both sweet and savory. Had the buckwheat with ham, mushrooms and gruyere. Delicious!
Excellent! I did the build your own crepe and it was delicious and decadent. Will definitely return!
The crepes are good, service is fast, and the staff is friendly in a serene setting. This is is a good place to read a newspaper or book.
Undercooked crepe with minimal ingredients. Place looks clean. I wish food they serve was better
Delicious with a nice blend of traditional and creative options (the buckwheat was with trying). My daughter just kept eating them.
Avoid this place. They are super cheap, just a few slices of fruit and little Nutella. These crepes are mediocre
Awesome place, I loved the food, Samantha's service was excellent. I was surprised to see that she was able to make 3 crepes at the same time. I would definitely come back!
Yum! I love Vive la Crepe. It is dangerously close to where I stay when I'm in NYC. All the options they have are fantastic and delicious. They are also super fast. I'm usually a strawberry Nutella girl, but I've been trying to branch out and everything I've tried has been awesome. I definitely reccomend the baked apples, especially with Nutella.
My only complaints: 1) sometimes when I've gotten strawberries they seem to be a little past their use-by date. Too mushy and tasted off. 2) its expensive! Over $10 for each crepe. Obviously, UWS and NYC ain't cheap but it's definitely got to be more of a splurge than a regular because I can't afford that all the time.
So convenient and who designed the paper wraps? The crepe delectably and delicately falls apart in your mouth. The ingredients were well thought out. Such a tasty meal!
The manager that was working Friday afternoon on 1/14/22 @4pm his attitude was very nasty and he looked like he didn’t want to be there. He made my experience very bad. I didn’t feel welcome. I was excited for my crepes that I spent up to $60 for me to feel disrespected smh.
Their gluten free savory crepes are delicious and very filling. Service was excellent. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting crepes, esp a gluten free one!
Tried their breakfast crepe - nothing special, way overpriced for what they offer. Did not see much variety either. I suspect many reviewers with the exciting reviews just never been to a truly quality crepe place.
So overpriced! I spent $12 dollars on a Nutella strawberry crepe with whipped cream and $6 on a “large” dulce de leche macchiato that was more of coffee with milk. The strawberries were not fresh. My friend got a mushroom spinach cheese crepe for $11 with barely any ingredients (2 mushrooms). Will never be returning. Lots of crepe places close by for better and cheaper.
A wonderful sweet aroma of freshly made crepes is a first thing you hear upon walking in?
Cooks make everything right in front of you, so it's quite mesmerizing to watch them carefully fold different fillings into the crepes. They seem to have a tidy cooking station, so that also a good sign.:)
Crepes taste delicious. We got a Sundae Crêpe and a latte with oat milk (which also was great).
They have a few tables (inside and outside seating available), and were about 70% full on Friday early afternoon.
Bonus: clean bathroom with a cute mirror?
