Resort Wainscott Inn reviews
7 The manager at this property racially profiled us! I’m at lost for words! She refused to honor our reservation that was made on Expedia saying that it looks suspicious and it has an international phone number and a weird email address. I contacted Expedia and they are also not sure what that manager claimed to be seeing, because it has all of the correct information.
The ‘manager’ then went on to say we made a reservation the previous day and didn’t show and she wait an extra half hour to accommodate us. First of all that reservation was canceled. It’s not anyone’s fault why your system or whatever didn’t update. And also, since she claimed it be sitting and waiting, why not calling the guest, wouldn’t that be smart?
Exactly, all lies. We asked for a sensible explanation as to why she won’t honor the reservation and she started victimizing herself. Saying she can’t handle this and it’s too much for her. I’m at lost for words! I’m black and you treated me unfairly! I’m so surprised, I didn’t know someone could really treat another person poorly for no reason. It’s as if nothing I said was credible or it didn’t matter to her. She dismissed me. I have never experienced racial discrimination before until today. Wainscott Inn, I’m appalled and heartbroken with your general manager! This is totally unacceptable!
Small tvs way up high were odd but a nice rustic camping vibe really close to town and the beaches
Wife and I stayed here for three nights, absolutely no issues.great room with cathedral ceilings, bright and well lit. The room was big enough for two beds with a small kitchenette and a small bathroom. The linens are high quality and the room was clean upon check-in. The parking is the best you can get, directly outside your door. The pool is highly maintained and crystal clear. The fact that they are pet friendly is great, and there's a good dog walking area and a trash barrel. The location is central to all of the best of the Hamptons and they offer a town beach pass which is less than 5 minutes away and also has easy parking.this really is the hidden gem of the area, pride of ownership shows throughout with well-maintained grounds and responsive staff.we got back from an event pretty late at night, probably 11: 00 pm, and we had a problem with our key, The front desk responded timely and handled the situation. (it was completely my fault, I was using a wrong key). Can't say enough good things about the place.give them a try, you won't be disappointed.
With taxes and services the room cost us $729 (granted, peak season), and honestly it makes a Holiday Inn look glamorous. The place has a lot of potential but you can see nobody has cared for it in a very very very long time.
Stayed at The Wainscott Inn and I highly recommend it. The room and hotel were even better than the pictures.
We had a king suite. The room was enormous. The ground are amazing, pool, etc.
Yikes - this place is the Bates hotel but one hopes to be murdered after setting foot in the room. Well located but expensive.
Very courteous and helpful staff. However, despite of its favorable location, the state of the room ruined everything. While I understand it's a budget motel, but the rooms, decor, furnishing were very outdated and old. Bathroom was extremely small and claustrophobic. The bright lights in the patio can't be turned off.making it impossible to sleep.
