My mother’s name was misspelled on the obituary for at least two full days and Priscilla refused to change it. They were unable to post a clickable link in the obituary.

We ran out of water and holy cards about a third of the way through the wake. WE had to change the garbage bags, not once but TWICE!

Trust me. Go anywhere else…anywhere!

Called to ask a question and got no answer. The first voice you should hear at a funeral home is one of comfort and caring NOT someone who is abrupt and to the point. Whomever was on the other end of the phone in this place did not transfer me to a Funeral Director. Sorry to bother anyone with a simple question. I realize you're in a BUSINESS but, remember people die ONCE and you have ONE chance to get it ALL right for the immediate (and extended family) from start to finish. Veterans, steer clear of this franchised Dignity owned enterprise. Franchise owned funeral homes cut corners, charge more for less and are managed to save money. VETERANS - STAY AWAY FROM THIS FUNERAL HOME!

Everyone at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home is very respectful of your wishes. There was absolutely no pressure on anything. And they went above and beyond to give me the amount of time I needed the day I went there to plan the services. I am 100% satisfied with everything they provided.

Not impressed, the number of things that went poorly due to poor service by Priscilla is numerous. Refused to make changes to their posted obituary, she was RUDE to multiple family members … and then she spoke at the funeral but she never knew my mother…saying nothing would’ve been better, especially since a priest had already said what was needed.

The viewing for my mother was not an average affair; as the mother of 16 children, it was bound to be a large gathering as well as a lot of people to work and communicate with during this time. Wanamaker, and specifically Priscilla Herring, did as well a job as could be expected to contend with the challenges presented. The facility itself was well kept and maintained, the family was treated with kindness and compassion during a difficult time.
Thanks again Wanamaker and especially Priscilla

The family of James Cappello feels compelled to mention that we were completely satisfied with the funeral services provided by Wanamaker and Carlough. Our pre-arranged services were carried out completely as planned. We found them to be very accommodating to the family’s wishes. As a result, the wake and funeral were a beautiful tribute to our Dad. We highly recommend Wanamaker and Carlough for a 5 star memorial service.

Wanamaker and Carlough have been nothing but professional and helpful during this time. Please know that I was very impressed with Ms. Herring's kindness, caring, compassion, courtesy and attention to detail in navigating a very difficult time for so large a family and was indispensable. Her dedication and integrity is deeply appreciated.

It feels weird to talk about one of the worst times of our lives, but Marty and Courtney @ W&C made it the whole experience from start to finish full of grace, thoughtfulness, and peace. We are so grateful to have had their support and expertise.

They helped make my father’s viewing and funeral beautiful. Everything about his viewing and funeral was exactly who he was, and it was a beautiful 2 day celebration of his life. I couldn’t have asked for anything more for my father. Thank you Mike, Frank, Marty and Desmond and everyone else who helped make my Dad’s celebration special. It truly was as special as he was.

Priscilla was the worst person and very unprofessional, she sent me the wrong itinerary flight for my mom to sent her back to our country. We paid extra money from our wallet just for her to make a big mistake, she never call us to apologize for the mistake she did.

The team that I dealt with was the key. In every instance they were professional, thorough and genuinely compassionate. They have my eternal gratitude for helping me through a very painful time.

I placed an order for a casket cover of white roses on a Wednesday and I received the notification that they were delivered Friday afternoon. I put the decease name on it along with his partners name. When I arrived to the wake which was only from 9a to 10: 30a I was told that no such arrangement arrived. I called the florist and they had proof that it was delivered on Friday at 3: 30p to the flower room. The arrangement completely disappeared. The funeral put the blame on the florist saying they must’ve not tagged it properly and it went to another service. I firmly believe the funeral home messed up the orders and put the blame on the florist.
