Wantagh Park reviews
17 Great pool complex to utilize in the summer. The park opened a beautiful and fairly challenging mini-golf course this year.
Also, has a pretty nice dog run that is split based on size.
Spacious park for recreational activities and plain walking, skating or biking, too. Bring a blanket or tarp and sit on the grass or bring a picnic basket to savor. Free parking available to carry your sports equipment closer to where you want to hang out.
My kids and I always love this park. From biking, walking around the path, to the pool, to launch our kayaks, to playground, there is a lot you can do there. We also did fishing two times there the last few years with cub scouts.
Multi purpose park with many options. Water front in parks with shaded seating, nice playground, plenty of picnic tables. Great park
This place has a large open space of grass and not a lot of shade. Although the SIGN says, WANTAGH RESIDENTS only, I was able to enjoy the park, sit on the bench near the shoreline on the beach, and have a nice quiet lunch with my family. You should try it, it's tranquil.
Really great place to visit with family and friends. Nice views so quite no loud music. Staff are very helpful and others are respectful each others. Please come to visit you will see the different from others.
The Park is great, but customer service at the entrance needs to be better trained. Made us pay more than we should have. Very Disappointed. It's a nice park but don't plan to go back
Real nice park and boat launch. Softball and baseball fields are turf and drain water off really well. Waterfront venue is available. Skating rink and play ground as well as a miniature golf course
So happy to have found this park! It's perfect for kids and adults of any age. A toddler pool, a huge regular pool, a splash park area, water slides and a training pool. What else could you ask for!? Not to mention the location on the water, with a food stand as well as ice cream and shaved ice trucks outside. We got chicken tenders and fries and a hit dog which were also very reasonably priced. With a leisure pass it's ten bucks for adults go enter and worth every penny! I didn't pay for my 21 month old. There's plenty of chairs but the ones in the shade did fill up quickly. We absolutely will be returning!
Its a beautiful place to play ball go on water slide, a long refreshing walk. By the water and the boats. Its very clean. There are public bathrooms, and a first aid station.
Love it here! 2 slides, large kiddie water area, olympic size pool and 2 kiddie pools. Tons of chairs (just dont get the from the food court)
Clean, usually resident only. Has mini golf and BBQs with gazebos for rent. Park office has friendly staff. Boat launch requires a permit.
It was very nice we took our dog Zoey to the dog park there. She was ok for a little while but as soon as all the dogs gather around then she didn't like it her and another dog one on one was not bad but add 2,3, or 4 then she wanted no part of it.they had 2 wading pools but she wanted no part of them unlike the other dogs who wre having fun inthe wading pools. Sge does not care for the water and she is not really using to the ASTRO Turff they had in the dog park. She is used to dirt, sand, mud, wood chips and grass really. Othef than that it was a nice park
The open field portion just next one of the entrances it's enough sometimes for whatever. Then there's trails you could walk if you wanted to go deeper in.
Use the big clearing for fireworks on 4th of July.
Nice Park would definitely recommend it A great place to go spend the day walk around.they also have a dog park which is pretty nice.
Beautiful park! Very well kept. Great for leisure activity such as: biking, walk/run, softball/baseball fields, picnic area, town pool, gazebos, marina, dog park, volleyball nets, mini golf, etc.
I've lived here 4 years and only last week discovered wantagh park. The pool and splash park are amazing, and I could not believe it had a mini golf course. I played with my 4 year old daughter (her first time) and there was no one ahead of us or behind us, so we had lots of time to learn. The playground structures were impressive in that there are LOTS of them, and it's fun that most of them are on sand, but they are on the older side. It seems likely they'll replace them in the next few years, but in the meantime they are safe and my kids didn't have any trouble having fun on them.
