Washington Park reviews
21What happened to the grass in area of tulips. Never saw it worse. Dangerous walking actually, at least for us old folk. Discouraging, especially offsetting the tulip experience, which once again was spactacular. Maintenence budget issue maybe, but please figure it out by next year's events.
This park always wows. There is plenty of space to go with tge family and have your own spot.weather it's by the Fountain, play ground, outdoor stage, or the courts you set up a picnic or chairs to watch the kids while you take it the fresh air.
This park is immaculately clean barely any litter on the ground a lot of people were enjoying the day yesterday and on Sunday the tulips are still shining and pretty but they are dying quickly if you want to go and take pictures you better get there as soon as you can
Washington Park is a beautiful park and meant to be shared by all not just those who live near it great place for many events
Beautiful large park in the center of Albany. Perfect for taking your dog or kids for an outing. There's a skate park, tennis courts, basketball courts, small fishing pond and playgrounds. The flowers are astounding in the spring too ️
Good place for outdoor ice skating during the winter. Large area to skate with and not very crowded. The ice is a little bit bumpy but that's normal for natural ice.
Its a park! Beautiful in spring and summer. It is architecture, conjoined with the 1880-90 Victorian Renaissance, every angle is a photograph, or impressionistic image to be had. Moses's posted looking west watching over the land as the sun bath's it in its departure into night. Also he host a fountain. Also, a large dog park, if passing through with a carload of children they also have a kiddie park near State street. The summer hosts the playhouse with restrooms and often events. The pond has some wildlife including a Blue Heron. Enjoy.
It is a quiet reprieve in the middle of a loud city. The paths are regularly cleared, and it is pretty flat. There are small hills, but you won’t need to walk them unless you want to. Lots of runners here.
I went for an event for work that was organized for a local pastor. Representatives from all the local police agencies were there as well as some super heroes! It was a great time all around.
One of the most peaceful spots in albany
. The Central Park of albany. Walk, ride your bike, look at the flower or the lights when it's xmas time
Albany's version of Central Park. Designed by Frederick Olmstead, same designer of Manhattan's Central Park. Beautiful and spacious, home to many festivals, live music and plays.
So much space to run, park for kids to play in.
Suggestion: Sanitize our parks with bleach and water. Killing built up germs. Keep our kids healthy and safe.
My first visit here and it was for the Latin Festival. Plenty of parking, clean and I felt safe. People were having fun and everything seemed very organized.
It's a good refugee to go to in a cooler weather. The fountains were not working when we went in early August in the morning and it seemed the flowers could do with more water. However it maybe due to the extreme hot weather this year.
Not a good place to be during hot weather. Rated it 3 as I was comparing it to other famous parks Chicago and NYC area
It great there i fine peace and some other things i can decide its a god feeling of love peace joy for me this why i try to walk that park as much as i can.i love it
Decent except for occasional homeless person laying within the trees. Just be prepared. I was leaving one day and got startled by someone laying in The bushes sleeping.
Beautiful park to walk around in. Fairly small so you don't have to worry about getting lost. Felt very safe.
Theres not a lot of outdoor space in Albany, so I like this park a lot - so much in fact that I rent an apartment across the street. The pond can get littered occasionally, but since its recent revamp theres more wildlife like ducks, turtles, fish in the pond. Theres a playground, dog park, paths for walking and jogging, basketball courts, tennis courts, a skate park. They hold festivals and plays and events in the summer, and theres a Christmas light display to drive thru during the winter.
I enjoy taking my grandchildren to Washington Park it hads so many places they can play and I love everything view the park has.
Tulips were magical! This is a lovely park with lots to do and close to cafes and restaurants of Lark St.
