Dear Carmen Tomeo and the rest of the directors at WE transport. The world finds you disgusting that you proceed to fire one of your long committed employees after 15 years of service over a simple justified mistake. If the Police believe her so should you! Treating someone a cancer patient like this whilst she is still going to work everyday committed to you as a company is beyond belief and a complete utter disgrace. This is how you repay her? All so your image looks good when in fact your image as a bus service company will be destroyed from this! Absolutely disgusting behaviour to leave a cancer patient jobless when the mistake was justified by the authorities. Huge shame on you!

Isn’t this the company that fired a 60 year old employee of 15 years who accidentally drank a White Claw on the job because her chemotherapy treatments means she can’t taste and since she doesn’t drink, thought the White Claw was lemonade?

Imagine giving 15 years of your life to a company, only to be fired for a single mistake that caused no harm to any party, and you now have to choose between your home and your health because without a job, you can’t afford both.

A company that makes a failed attempt to protect its reputation without considering the impact of this decision on the well-being of an employee with CANCER, is not a company that cares about your kids.

What a foul and shameful company you run.

I am a student and this bus and bus company SUCK. Our driver is always late, every time. I live fairly close, so unnecessary. The bus is hot and dirty. We have all complained, nothing has been done. Our driver is also not qualified, stopping short, ignoring speed bumps, not letting people on the road etc. I do not feel safe, we all do not feel safe. Also dispatch is very rude, hangs up randomly. I understand you are short staffed, probably underpaid; My point still stands with the fact this is you’re job.

My kids school is 20 mins away from my house but they spend over an hour and half on the bus. Their logistics is terrible and communication is awful.

Email to the company from a parent perspective, a mom that has been extremely blessed and lucky with past drivers and amazing, kind and welcoming aides.

Good afternoon Ms. Pilar

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and concern regarding an incident that occurred on September 5th involving your special transportation bus service. On that day, the bus failed to pick up my child, from our residence, resulting in him missing his first day of school while the teacher was waiting for him per my request in the 90• heat, I would also like to express that I never received a call with a pick up time. I called onThursday August 31st in which I was told to wait for a call on Friday or Saturday, that never happened.
I want to include that on this day my son was with his grandma waiting for two long hours for the bus to arrive due to transportation (Julio and AJ) specifically telling me the driver is on her way. I was in the phone as early as 8am confirming pick up.
After 10am the driver used my personal number to call me and raise her voice saying she’s outside” I’m outside come out” which it was not true, when I asked her to repeat my address for the 3rd time I hear the bus aide saying” we are in Commack mom said Huntington Station” in which her reply was to tell me “ forget it” I won’t be there. Leaving me in shock due to my son waiting for hour and the lack of respect, not even an apology was given and administrators waiting for a child that never arrived.
I had to leave work and multiple appointments so I can personally drive him to his second school because she refused to pick him up at all.

The following day, when the bus did arrive at 8: 55 (school starts at 9am), the driver arrived extremely late without any communication or explanation for the delay. Furthermore, the driver got lost multiple times and had to call me for directions. This lack of professionalism and preparedness is unacceptable. This is not a regular bus this is a special education bus with children with needs.
Once again, she called me to ask me where she was taking my son after I texted all the information to her personal phone in the morning she used to call me. I was again nervous and scared that she lost my child, she kept saying “ I’m outside” I’m home” come out” in which I started to panic because my son is suppose to go to his second school not home which no one was there. On this second day the driver took away teaching time for this teacher while she also waited in the heat for him to arrive, schools are 5 minutes away not 45+ minutes.

I do not feel safe with the driver making calls while children are on the bus. This is the second year of my child having special transportation and I have never experience so much fear.

Last year Was amazing. This year I think they sleeping in the office. Terrible update service ….
