Hotel Westchester Marriott reviews
21Ruth Chris Steak House is amazing! Didnt stay at the hotel, but we should have instead of the Sheraton down the road.
Wow. Big beautiful rooms, great restaurants in the hotel itself, plus loads of restaurants nearby. Definitely coming back!
I booked a king size bed and they wouldn’t honor it and told me I had to get a double full size room. The Receptionist was extremely rude talking aggressively even after I showed her my reservation. Manager stepped in and told me there was nothing they could do because there was booked.
I attend a convention here, once a year, for the last ten years. Great service the food is good. Comparable pricing to other Hotels. Excellent staff and accommodations.
Exceptionally Rude Management. I asked kindly for an upgrade as a platinum member after seeing more than 5 suites available. The Marriott terms state that the benefits of being a loyal platinum member is receiving the "best available upgrade. " They stated nothing else was available when checking in and gave us a tiny guest room by the pool that was full of strong chlorine smell. I asked on the mobile chat if there was any room away from the pool, and the manager stated that all of a sudden a suite was now available and that he would be placing us in there. We were shocked, and happy to hear that a suite had now become available!
I went down to the front desk to have the keys changed only to be greeted with absolute disrespect and rudeness. The front desk agent stated that the manager, Zachary, wanted to make it clear that upgrades are not given here and that this would be the only exception and last time. He repeated it a few times with anger in his voice and said it in the presence of all the staff and people checking in. I replied that I never asked for a suite upgrade except for the first time checking in. After they stated none were available, I accepted that. I only asked for a different room away from the strong chlorine smell. He didn't listen to a thing I said, but again repeated that the manager, Zachary, had instructed him to deliver this message, and if I had any issues, to take it up with Zachary.
That level of disrespect is uncalled for. There is absolutely no regard for member status loyalty. Because my wife encouraged me to, I called the Marriott Platinum line who took care of the situation and made sure to keep them accountable. I advise everyone who experiences the same to reach out to Marriott support. I will never book here again. Unfortunately, although it was this hotel that disrespected us and made us feel unwelcome, my overall view of Marriott has changed for the worse.
Great place to stay! Only one "complaint" my sister doesn't like the elevators. They don't give you the option to get off on a different floor if you felt unsafe.
Other than that, this place, the staff, area shopping are all
Always clean and comfortable so a good experience and would go back anytime The room wasn't ready when we got there so they gave us a $10 discount card which we could use towards food which u thought was pretty nice
Great hotel only thing is the pool atrium makes the rooms that face the pool have a strong clorine smell
The Westchester Marriott Hotel is a full service hotel located in Tarrytown NY. The rooms are large with comfortable beds and a Chaise lounge. There are two restaurants, many large conference areas and a comfortable Lobby. The staff is friendly and helpful. Parking is free!
Fantastic facility - right off the Tappan Zee Bridge. Good parking, friendly staff - excellent on property restaurants and Spa.
Great hotel, recently updated. The Club Lounge is a bit too small for the hotel size, so plan ahead for breakfast if you an Elite Member.
Was there for a continuing education event. Lobby looked nice, the ballroom we were in was accommodating, and the food from the on-site restaurant was good.
Nicely appointed, clean rooms at a fair (for the market) price. Didn't care for any of the restaurants there (especially poor service at their pub though). Just a short drive from Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow and all those attractions (Kykuit, Lyndhurst Mansion, Sunnyside, Old Dutch Church, etc.).
Horrible hotel. The staff treated my family and I very rudely, I will never go back here every again.
Upon checking in the carpet was dirty, the toilet was dirty, we had to have maintenance unclog our shower, and then we were evacuated out of our room because "someone was bleeding" somewhere in the building.absolutely horrible.
The facility was nice and the food was amazing! This is a very large, and perfect for conferences or events.
The going to the Marriott for years. Very disappointed about the new change in room service.otherwise I always love this hotel
The only full service Marriott in the White Plains area. The structure is dated but the rooms are newer.
Full Gym and pool. Amenities are good but service is generally slow.
Best part of the hotels is Coopers Mill, the restaurant within. I travel a lot for work and this is arguably one of the better hotel restaurants I’ve experienced.
Was here for a Kids pool party in March. Didn't know it was a "Thing" people do these days. It was 4-5 other groups there for the same thing. We checked in at 3: 45 was told the pool was closed and would open in an hour. That NEVER happened so there were alot of ANGRY ppl at the Desk that night til 11pm. As most ppl booked the poolside rooms for the night at $189 a room with 2 or more rooms. Now kids are crammed into the rooms going crazy and running in the halls. It was like daycare center on a Sugar HIGH! Needless to say they now have a banner on the website saying No Pool Parties. A lil to late. The pool area was Very Nice that's why I gave 3 stars. Rooms were average clean and modern
The hotel was decent enough but the staff were definitely a1 at confusion. When we checked in we were confirmed at a certain rate as well as a certain room arrangement. The rate was falsified even after it being on our confirmation as well as our rooms were not the selections we chose. Thank goodness we had an “extra” $800 on our card because we definitely were not informed of an accidentals hold that is usually around 250-300. This was probably one of my worst experiences and i will tell anyone who asks. If you do order room service don’t let it get cold because there’s not a microwave in sight. The hotel is beautiful but I can assure you the next time we host a reunion in this area this hotel will be our last option.
