Westhampton Primary Care Center, Westhampton Beach NY

For years, I was satisfied with the care I received at this office. It was 5/5 stars for me, leagues above the doctor I had previously seen.

This year, when I was injured, I saw doctors at WHPC for diagnosis and treatment. The doctors and staff were all good. Wait times have been longer recently, but I didn't think much of it.

My injury lost me a lot of income this year, however, so that I have accrued a small outstanding balance on my account. Ever since then, but especially in the last two visits I had this year, the front desk manager has begun treating me differently. Suddenly, I've become some kind of problem to her, even though I'm paying the bill.

I have always been polite to the staff at this office. The change in attitude toward me has been hurtful and discouraging, especially considering how long I've been a patient. I excused it the first time, because I needed to receive care, but three times is quite enough. I can no longer recommend this office no matter how good the doctors were.

I'm giving 5 stars for this office.because the girls at the front desk, the nurses and Dr VanArsdale are all amazing! The office is clean and very well run.the girls in reception always have a smile & are happy to help.same for the nurses! I see Dr V for OMM. I've been in chronic pain bc of a small defect in my spine from birth. Dr VanArsdale, is my fav.he's understanding, professional, very smart & also caring and never rushes me. He doesn't have an alarmist approach, he has a calming, confident demeanor! If you're choosing this office bc you're in search of an OMM Doctor. Dr VanArsdale is the best!

If you are looking for a general physician, look elsewhere. Front office is lazy and does not answer the phone, respond to voicemails, prescription refill request voicemails and even their very own patient portal requests. Dr Aponte, gets confused easily and plays with patients' lives by not completing prescription requests making the patient return later in the day to get the very prescription he supposedly subscribed the very same morning? Irresponsible and un-trustworthy

Been multiple times for different symptoms and regular annual physicals. Never left under 1.5 hours - Very long wait times in exam room. Although the multiple nurses and students are nice, it would be better if they came in the room with my actual primary doctor (whom I haven’t seen in almost 3 years and is why I originally declared Westhampton as my primary)
I Leave feeling like I am a test subject for the students and am not receiving the best possible care.
Beginning to reconsider my options.

Unfortunately I have not had one good experience with Westhampton primary care and now I’ll be going elsewhere. I called to make an appointment due to a relentless cough that I had for about 5 days, when I called they told me anyone with a “cold” symptom has to be seen virtually. I scheduled the appointment with “Lisa” wasn’t even a doctor but I was desperate to be seen -I waited on the phone for 40 minutes just to be seen virtually. Lisa gave me a steroid and told me to take mucinex and if not better in 5 days to call and she will prescribe me a antibiotic. Fast forward to 5 days later I’m better but not 100% so I called never heard back, I called the next day and they told me I would have to schedule another virtual appointment. I don’t understand how you can properly diagnose a patient virtually? Your not listening to my lungs or giving me a proper exam virtually - I mean this is my PCP and they refuse to see me? Really? The women on the phone was extremely agitated when I said virtual is pointless. I almost feel like reporting them to my insurance company because I feel as though they just try to hit your insurance for everything. I’m not the only person feeling this way as I have spoke to others with same experience. Needless to say I will have to go to urgent care where at least they won’t refuse to see me. WPC is extremely unprofessional and not helpful. It infuriates me that they won’t see me who by the way is an established patient. I would think twice before going here.
