Cocktail Bar Westlight reviews
25Definitely a great date night spot. The food & drinks good. The view of the city was also amazing.
Bad experience. One hour and a half to get one drink. Staff unpolite. Expensive and not worthy. One hour in line to get to the women restrooms.
There are better places with better views within the same area. Do not pick Westlight. They promote themselves as a rooftop bar, but this is only primarily true. Hostess is rude and provides outdoor seating based on her bias. Today's lie was that you could o ly sit outside with a reservation, but bent those rules for another group. Hostess specified that could only stay for 60 minutes upon arriving. This is not on website. Bathrooms were atrocious. Ended up going to the watertower bar within walking distance of westlight and received superior views and service.
Reviews were mixed, but decided to give it a shot. Should have steered clear. The hostess was very rude. Seems like she was only able to accommodate outside seating based on how well she likes you. You are not allowed outside unless you are seated and reservations are preferred so it’s not really a true rooftop experience. Was immediately told that we would have to give up our time within an hour. Drinks are overpriced. The bathrooms were disgusting. Trash on the floor in the stalls, no toilet paper in most. I would give 0 stars if I could. Went to The Water Tower Bar in the Williamsburg Hotel down the street for a true rooftop experience and better service overall.
Used to be amazing, but the service was slow, the food was meh, and the drinks were pure alcohol. The saving grace for this place is the view, giving it 2 and not 1 star. Don't recommend:/
View and vibe were great. Bartenders were super friendly, but PAINFULLYYYY slow.took 10 min (not exaggerating, I timed it) for one of them to make 2 gin and tonics and 2 cocktails. Another one was spending more time talking with people than actually making drinks.
Great city skyline view. Good drinks.
Service stuff will make you fill like you are processed food - 20+ min wait to get drink. Service is absolute “0”. Plenty empty tables, but they made us wait for 1 hour, and after we checked, claimed they paged us - never did. Ordered food never came - waiter told us that kitchen is busy? ! And only after I pull him over and asked where is it. This one of the places that do quantity over quality. I would not recommend it to anyone.
Undisputed great views of the city, and while it’s nice that they allow non customers access to take photographs, I find it takes away from the atmosphere. I would rather enjoy my expensive cocktail without someone reaching over me to take a photo.sunset is a popular time so if that’s your jam, get there a bit early to get a seat.
Very good place. From the roof top can be seen both Manhattan and Brooklyn scene. My suggestion is westlight burger. It was delicious and french fries was also delicious but would be better if the fries served with the burger not seperately.
Modern, sophisticated, and luxurious Hotel. Fantastic views of the NYC skyline from the rooftop bar and lounge.
Beautiful rooftop views. Nice place to catch the sunset. I'd say it's a good date spit.make a reservation for ez access to the roof. Or wait on line like the rest. Chef Carmalini supplying the food so you already know what to expect.
Amazing rooftop. Ask what can be made vegan. We had the guacamoles with nachos without the sauce with sour cream. It was tasty.
This is a great, central spot with a sophisticated tiki vibe. The drink menu is constantly changing and - surprise delight - always has a few Filipino-inspired cocktails with a heavy dose of calamansi and pandan!
This place is so amazing I had a great time here the views of Manhattan is breathtaking must visit just awesome
We waited for 1 hour and no one attended us on roof top. At 10 we tried to order food ag
fter getting drinks the waiters then tell us they dont serve any food. Having such a big bar you idiots treat people like this shame on you. Hate it to the core
Awesome rooftop bar at the William Vale hotel with a great view of the Manhattan skyline. The cocktails and finger food served are great. The line to get up to the terrace is usually quite long and loops around the lobby, so make a reservation to avoid having to wait. Definitely try to make it up here for sunset.
Cocktails up in the W'burg Sky (with prices to match).
So yeah, this is where you go to See And Be Seen. It's so cool, it's almost painful, and prices for the drinks make sure that it actually *is* painful, in case you had any doubts.
The upside is that you're way up there, and the view of the NYC skyline is actually pretty cool.
Go if you must. OTOH, if you've already been here, you probably already know that you don't need to come back.
Sensational views, but like most rooftop bars in NYC, the crowd is underwhelming and mostly tourist. Obviously $$$$ too.
Come here for the drinks and the fabulous view. Not much food on the menu, but there is plenty to drink. Not much music either, but the view is amazing.
The view is breathtaking, no doubt about that. However, service is very slow, toilets a are a mess and cocktails contain fruit syrup in stead of fresh fruit like listed on the menu. Pay for the view but don’t expect high quality service, foods and drinks. Disappointing.
