American Restaurant Wheeler's reviews
16It's a nice place. It was my second time going there because I remembered my first. I was at a work Christmas dinner earlier at Patrizia's, and Wheeler's is walking distance from there. The service is great. I didn't eat there, just had drinks. The drinks were made excellently and they never ran out of cherries. The people are friendly and the bathroom is clean.
Freakin steak sandwich was surprisingly good. I never was a fan of wheelers as a teen and through college. I came back the hood for a visit and was very surprised how good this local dive was. Seriously improved and reasonably priced for the times.
Buffalo wings were good. Nachos were good. Been to this place many times, but never really ordered anything else. Last time I was there, I ordered the grilled chicken Ceasars salad. The chicken was good, I actually took all the chicken home because the salad, the romaine lettuce itself, was horrible. I don't remember the last time I had such horrible salad. I didn't feel like eating the chicken by itself. Either way, I recommend going there, just don't order the Ceasars salad.
Been there several times and always order buffalo wings cause they're good. Not too salty or saucy and still have a crunch.
The mussels in red sauce were okay. My friend seem to like them a lot. I prefer my mussels in garlic butter and well seasoned.
The steak and chicken tid-bits was good. My friend and I prefer the chicken side lol.
We'll be returning.
My family and I have been coming here for many years now, and we love it. The food is delicious, the drinks are delicious. The staff is amazing and friendly. The owner / manager is always checking up on you to see if everything is okay and we love that!
Love is here, been coming here for years. The owner/manager almost always greets you at the door and it's great! There's a private area in the back so you are far from the bar noise. Excellent service and food!
THE place to go in Sheepshead Bay, whether you are looking for a drink at the bar or at a table, or a meal in the back. The majority of the staff has been there for a long time. The bartenders are great. They are very attentive and friendly, most especially Colleen and Danny. The food is delicious, (they are known for their mussels) and I love the nachos supreme and the mozzarella sticks. There is a large back room suitable for private parties. I highly recommend visiting Wheelers anytime you are in Sheepshead Bay.
The food was great.
When I go back to New York that is where I will be eating
The service was more than excellent
I will be back soon
Wonderful friendly and great food. I'm a senior and went there with my teen grand children. Everyone left smiling.
This is the best restaurant in Brooklyn, no the world. Nachos.best.awesome. Bartender Jim is cool. Chicken sandwich, roast beef, fajitas, all excellent. And even though I would never eat mussels, people who do like that grossness tell me it's great.
One of my favorite spots. The mussels with white wine sauce are a must have! Atmosphere is perfect to have a high quality but casual dinner. Love, love, love this place!
Wheelers is Brooklyn own watering hole. Good food, good drinks, good atmosphere and good people. I recommend visiting for some good food.
Very congenial owner/manager named Michael makes patrons feel warmly welcome at this dimly lit but excellent pub and resto less than 5 minutes from both the NYC Subway (B and Q lines) and the Sheepshead Bay shoreline where there's LOTS of resto competition!
A diner or imbiber cannot go wrong with any selection that the patron can make. Their New England Clam Chowder is some of the best away from Cape Cod.
I lived in Sheepshead Bay 30yrs, was always great then & still is every year my brothers, friends and I go back. A staple in The Bay!
Greaaat fooood, friendly staff. Fri/Sat nights tend to be more busy. But always a good time. They have room in the back for a more family oriented sit down vibe. Nice bar vibes in Brooklyn!
