White Castle, Queens NY

Cashier went from handling cash to touching the inside of those small burger boxes with her ungloved, unwashed hands. Boxes with burgers already in them. Another employee has extremely long fake nails and I know she's not spending 5 minutes scrubbing every inch of them everytime she goes to the bathroom.

Tables are extremely dirty. There's a drug clinic and crack hangout park nearby so expect homeless/druggies/mentally ill. And they're very slow.

Update: Got the runs not even an hour after eating here. Just avoid.

The burgers were horrible. They were soggy and bad. The onion rings were greasy and the oily. The oil that they were cooked in was old. I would have taken everything back but I was to far away to do that. My lost of $35.00

Wow! Visited the WC on Hillside Avenue in Queens on Monday, May 8,2023 around 11: 30 am. The cashier was overwhelmed by simple orders, while being asked by customers multiple questions, while worrking the drive thru. My order was mixed up twice and the customer behind me was trying to rush me to place my order when the cashier stepped away from the counter. It was so obvious that she was tired and overworked and her manager had to step in and take over her duties. Since that was my first visit, it will be my last. Too much confusion and less than efficient service.

I went to the drive thru today and the lady taking the orders had the nastiest attitude. I simply asked for the menu of the Sloppy Joes. She replies "yes Sloppy Joes". I wanted no cheese but spicy. She tells me (as if I'm annoying her) the cheese is what makes it spicy. Now I've had the White Castle Sloppy Joes before without cheese and it was spicy, so I knew she was mistaken. I asked, knowing there were 3, "what flavor of Sloppy Joes are there again? " She replies, "American cheese, Cheddar cheese, and Jalapeno cheese. " I was completely confused by this answer because cheese is exactly what I didn't want. So I asked again "what flavors are there? " She makes a loud sigh and I could hear her mumble to her coworkers "this guy" about me, as if she' was annoyed. She then yells "AMERICAN CHEESE, CHEDDAR CHEESE, JALAPEÑO CHEESE! ". After this I told her "never mind" and I drove off. With an attitude like that I feel she would most likely spit in my food or do something nastier so I was turned off. Her lack of knowledge of her employer's menu was a bit weird to me as well. I later looked up the White Castle Sloppy Joe sliders which are. Smokey Joe, Sloppy Joe and Spicy Joe. This was the answer I was looking for, not the list of available cheeses. The last time I was there I guess they gave me the Spicy Joe without cheese. It comes with jalapeno chips which makes it spicy enough. Anyway. I really like the Spicy Joe, but I urge everyone to avoid spending your money with a business that would hire an employee that treats a customer with such a nasty attitude for simply asking a question about the menu. A question this employee got completely wrong by the way. If her attitude is that nasty, there is a good chance she will do something nasty to your food simply because she is having a "bad day" or just doesn't want to be there. My advice to her is tone down the attitude.it's bad for business. Learn about your job, and how to do it. There's plenty of other fast food places for me to frequent. This place will no longer be one.

Food was really good. 9.5 but the lady at the register was very nasty she had a hijab on and looked sort of young. She had such the nastiest attitude ever. Boy who was taking orders was clueless. If you’re mad don’t take it out on the customers! Stay mad.

Good coffee! Always good service, and slamming sliders! Can't wait for their take on the Hot Dog.

It's white castle late night awesome but I wish I could get something to nest late night without my car. No walk through lol just drive-through. NY people who got a nice parking spot don't want to get lose it cent eat the castle. =[

I came to order the mix and match for the sliders. I’m at the drive thru trying to place the order the worker had a hard time hearing so she started yelling I can’t hear you what do you want me to do? ! Saying ‘oh my god! ’ All I said was I’m trying to order the mix and match. I said it clearly and I don’t have an accent. The worker just had a Terrible attitude. This location needs to work on their customer service this was my last time here

Love this neighborhood WC. Been here for years and never disappoints. Drive through can get crowded but when open the inside can be the better/faster option. Don't be afraid of the folks that may be wondering nearby. Milkshakes are the bomb. May order from Doordarshan now that I'm writing this review at 1: 30 am. Lol

Ive been here many times and this is the slowest FAST food restaurant you will even encounter. Even with no one else in the drive through you will still be left waiting 10 minutes for 2 sliders! The staff moves incredibly slow. Skip this white castle

On 10/28/22 I ordered through the drive-thru the person who took the order was nasty and short. Her attitude was horrible like I’ve done something to her. To make matters worse the food was awful the cheeseburgers was wet and soggy. Onion rings old and cooked hard. And the soda was seltzer water. I hadn’t eaten all day and had a long ride home. I was lucky enough to find another restaurant couple blocks up,

The onion rings were dry, stale & hard and so were the burgers. I'm tired of wasting money on disgusting tasting food. These so called cooks shouldn't have a job if they can't cook better than wat they're cooking!

Thank you for being so close to me. Although sometimes you disappoint, its not frequent enough to warrant anything less than five stars. I order jalapeño sliders and panko fish sliders here.

I went late at night. The drive thru server was a bit abrasive. Maybe she was tired‍️ I had the 1921 burger.nothing amazing. And the prices have skyrocketed

Terrible service while ordering drive through. There are better ways of explaining to customers on the availability of an item. The lady that spoke to me had bad attitude, did not give me a chance to express my order or concerns and just kept going on how they only have sweet tea bottled water and etc. I didn’t catch her name but she sounded very rude and I will not be coming to this location again. It seemed like she hated her job here and was trying to show her frustrations to the customers while taking their order- terrible she should get fired right away. I can tell you there is a bit difference of service getting food at the hillside Ave location Vs getting it at garden city. Do your due diligence.

I dont eat alot of fast food felt bloated all day!
Burgers was cold & now what they are doing is have walk-up orders in the drive thru. It makes a long wait longer!

Worse white castle I've been to, waited in line for one hour and couldn't even order, staff has no sense of urgency. This place might as well close their door, it would be better off than to go customers false hope!

Horrible service. Young girl serving gave me burnt onion rings and the double cheese burger wasn't even done. I will never go to that place again. They too busy socialize with each other instead making sure the customer gets fresh food that's done not burnt.

Things have really gone down hill at this location big time. I recently visited on April 29th in the evening and I waited almost 40 mins while hearing an employee with a Filipino accent just curse off people obnoxious and i was just trying to place my order, cars all back up, people beeping and this cashier just couldn't care less. The owners of this location should know what chaos is going in in here. I will be reaching out to their corporate office because this place is a horror story when it was not this way. It was always such a pleasure to come and dine here.but not anymore
