White Rose Day Spa & Hair Design reviews
14Christmas 2022 they sold gift certificates. I purchased 2 as gifts for massages specifically. It was impossible to schedule an appointment. At one point they didn’t even have a massage therapist and refused to give a refund. Now end of the year when the gift certificate is expiring… both were able to finally squeeze in an appointment. One massage was horrible and didn’t feel like a massage at all and the other massage ended 15 minutes too soon (it was his first one ever so he didn’t have anything to compare it to). Don’t buy certificates from this place and certainly don’t schedule a massage. It was such an embarrassing gift to have given.
The White Rose has many great things to offer. I am disappointed that they don't offer some of their massages anymore, but the ones they do offer are still very nice. They also have a very nice hair salon.
Very nice experience. The people there were wonderful and very professional. There was some confusion about the package we got but they figured it out and were very kind about it. We had 3 people in the group (one in a wheelchair) and they were very helpful and warm to us the entire day! We all had facials, body wraps, nails, pedicures, hair and make up and it was very nice. The place could use some easy updates but every person we met was very nice.
Absolutely relaxing! Lexi made my experience great. I got a body scrub and petite facial and loved every second.
I purchased a gift certificate for a back massage for my fiancé and was never told about any reasons why he’s not able to get a massage until today when he tried to book an appt. I asked for my money back and was told he can get other services as far as hair and scrubs or wraps. I’m sorry my fiancé is African American and wouldn’t get his hair done at the white rose spa or any other services besides a massage. I am livid as I wasted money on a certificate that he can’t use because the massage therapist comes once a month and they don’t have a schedule nor do the have any openings just a long waiting list. YOU ARE TAKING PEOPLES MONEY AND NOT EXPLAINING THE DETAILS OF YOUR ONCE A MONTH MASSAGE THERAPIST.
I enjoyed my pedicure until it was time for payment. I got an express pedicure which was $35 and they charged me an extra $40 for gel polish removal. This is outrageous and unheard of. I will not be returning.
My daughter's gave me a gift certificate for a spa sampler. I did my spa sampler today. Absolutely fantastic. Great atmosphere. The best mani / pedi that I have ever had. Full body scrub and massage + facial. Wow! I will be going back for more. I so needed that.
I went there on my lunch break today to pick up a gift certificate for a back massage as a gift for my husband. This is after I called to confirm last week that they did gift certificates and to find out the price. I let the lady that answer know I would be in either at the end of last week or beginning of this week and she said that would be fine. When I went today and let the lady know at the desk why I was there she proceeded to tell me they aren't doing those as they only have one massage therapist and she only comes a couple times a month. I asked why wasn't this information passed along last week when I called and said I would be in to pick up the gift certificate. All I was told was she didn't know and she proceeded with the same lines of only one therapist. Glad I wasted my lunch break for that.
My husband called yesterday to see if I could go and get a wash and cut. I had never been there before so I didn't know if I could just walk in or if it was by appointment only, turns out it is by appointment only but they were so nice and told my husband to just have me come on in and they would fit me in. It took me around 20 - 25 mins to get there. And when I arrived the staff was so friendly & offered to hang up my coat and get me something to drink immediately. I waited for less then 5 minutes for my stylist Annette. She was so professional and very knowledgeable. I enjoyed my self so much I texted my niece while I was there to tell her about the great place I had just found and now we both have pedis scheduled for next week. I definitely will be making White Rose my go to from now on.
I have been here for individual services in the past, but this last visit was less than stellar. I brought my daughter and her bff for my daughter’s birthday for the little girls spa package day out. The lady that did my daughter’s friend’s makeup and nails was very attentive to the girls but the older lady who was taking care of my daughter was more interested in talking to me than paying attention to the girls. She didn’t give my daughter a scrub treatment during the pedicure or massage her feet. She just put her nail polish on her nails. My daughter was a little disappointed because her friend got the better spa treatment. I was more bothered by the fact that the stylist wasn’t talking with the girls, just me and I wasn’t the one getting the mani/pedi, makeup treatment.
I tried to call twice to get gift certificates for my sisters and both times the lady who answered seemed like she couldn't be bothered. I was told to go online and get gift certificates, then when I went online there was no place for gift certificates just to book appts. So I called back and the same lady answered, I said I would just like to call and pay for the gift certificates and they can call and schedule the appt she did not want to help and told me that they will get lost.
I received a gift certificate to WhiteRose for a pedicure. Made an appointment over the phone. I got there after a 40 minute drive and waited. When I arrived it was dark and no one, I mean no one was there. It was odd. The lobby is beautiful and relaxing and there are alot of nice things to look at. Later I discovered my appointment was accidentally made an hour before the place opened. Long story short, I left with no pedicure and went to work. Later that week, the owner called to get my address to send me another pedicure certificate for free. (Now I had 2) That was cool.
So, next visit, I brought my partner. Again, we made an appointment, but had to wait 40 minutes, as there was another scheduling issue of some sort. But, the technicians were great and my pedicure was nice!
I expect, that just like everyone else, they are struggling to get staff. I can't blame anyone for that problem these days.
Note: this is the only place I ever been that doesn't offer those single use flip flops after your pedicure, so bring your own. My pedicure smudged because I didn't have any.
I go there because of the stylist that I've been going to for over 30 years. She just happens to be at the spa right now.
First visit today with Shay! I previously used box color (yes it was bad! I had about 6 different shades on my head) She was up front and honest about possible results. I am THRILLED with my results. My hair took very well to the bleach better than it should/could have. She also gave me a blunt cut with framed face. I WILL be returning. Cannot wait for my next visit!
