Whiteface Lodge - Lake Placid, NY

This is a great vacation spot. I love the lodge and the activities. I would definitely recommend.

The only thing negative was the lack of food in the bar on Thanksgiving night when they clearly stated there was. The staff in the bar were excellent.

Very nice accomodations. Our suite was the size of our home! The whole place has a lodge feel and the included breakfast was high quality.

Amazing Family resort. We’ve stayed in many fairmonts in Canada (chateau montebello, chateau Laurier, fairmont Queen Elizabeth) and we found we enjoyed our stay here more. The resort has so much to offer and given the weather while we were there (barely any snow) we lucked out and the skating rink was still open so we used it twice a day.

Resort - bowling alley, game room, theatre, pools, so many nooks and crannies to explore. Book lending library. We enjoyed it all. Hot chocolate served at the skating hut. Free s’mores in one of the beautiful lobby areas. Popcorn with a movie. Or without.

The only thing that surprised me was the temperature of the outdoor pool was a bit cooler than I expected but still nice.

Rooms - beautiful. Love the decor. Very clean. Environmentally friendly. Could use a recycling box in the rooms. Had everything we needed and more for our stay.

Service - super friendly. The housekeepers were so nice and friendly when we passed them in the hallways. It truly made the experience better. Service is everything when we travel and they exceeded our expectations. Thank you.

Price - expensive but you get what you pay for. It was worth it for us for the memories we made. The hotel itself is an experience.

Location - minutes from lake placid but honestly we always want to explore an area but with this resort we didn’t feel the need to leave (also due to weather) but glad we got to enjoy all the ammenities.

I can see us coming back here. And we have recommended it to all our Canadian friends.

One of the best places in all of New England and NY. Nothing in VT or NH compares the the beauty and town feel of Lake Placid + the Whiteface Lodge does cozy mountain luxury better than just about anywhere. Highly recommend.

So many wonderful activities available on site. My daughter practically lived in the indoor/outdoor pool & hot tubs. We took full advantage of the game room, bowling lanes, and skating rink. There were so many cozy nooks to enjoy a cup of hot cocoa or relax by a fire. The staff was incredible; my daughter is quite chatty and everyone on staff knew her by name before we left. It was a magical birthday trip for her.

Understaffed for everything except breakfast, current staff doing their very best but left hung out to dry by the management.

We came here for a wedding and everything was exceptional and above what was expected. The hotel grounds were breathtaking.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner here are all absolutely brilliant followed up by a professional team. A special mention to Andre in peak 47 who went above and beyond with his exceptional service and friendly manner.

I would highly recommend Whiteface lodge to anyone and everyone.

Whiteface Lodge is an enchanting place. The indoor outdoor pool is rejuvenating, great to swim when it’s cold outside. Rooms are amazing and have its own kitchen where you can heat up your own meals and have a nice dining experience straight in your room. Food such as breakfast is great. Do try their veggie burger in the afternoon. The staff is friendly and is worth the price. When here do visit the Peninsula, hiking trail where you can see stunning view Whiteface Mountain.

WOW! This place is beyond INCREDIBLE! We stayed in a suite and it was incredible, the amenities are great and the food was delicious. But the stars of the show are definitely the STAFF! We would like to recognize these incredible workers- Dino, Katrina, Igor, Faye, Jovanah, the crazy breakfast chef, the popcorn maker and the most polite valet ever (guy with long hair/ponytail! Sorry for the names we forgot but did want to recognize all). We will be back again for sure, thank you WFL! Highly recommended!

Beautiful and secluded properly with a variety of recreation options and charging for electric vehicles on premise. The room is luxurious yet cozy at the same time. The service is pampering and considerate.

Very expensive but the well worth it.
Enjoyed a beautiful wedding at the lodge!
Top notch accommodations

If you stay here, do NOT let them put you in room 101. It is under the bowling alley and they will not warn you. Only after we complained about the noise, did they bother to tell us that we were under a bowling alley and “it will close at 9 p.m. ”

The Whiteface lodge is absolutely fantastic the staff and the grounds are kept up well. The lodge itself is absolutely beautiful. Inside and out the staff are very polite and curious they made the whole experience delightful.

What a beautiful lodge. I wish I could have stayed longer to explore all the cozy spaces and amenities. Restaurant and bar were very nice.

Absolutely beautiful grounds, room was amazing, bigger then most Manhattan apartments. Service is solid, amenities were excellent.
