Whites of Montauk

The staff was VERY rude and unhelpful. We came to Montauk for a week and my boyfriend split his toe open. We were lucky to receive a prescription to help prevent infection. When we went to go pick it up, my boyfriend and I were waiting on the line with a group of friends. Everyone was buying something from the store. We were all standing in our socially distanced yellow squares on the floor. The “owner” who was an older lady, disrespectfully came up to our group and said there was too many of us and people needed to leave even though we were ALL buying something. I was with my boyfriend buying him wound bandages while he was getting his medicine. The owner came up to me and tried telling me I had to wait outside. I told her I was buying bandages and I’m with my boyfriend. She continued to tell me this is why there are problems with the world because people like me don’t listen. I don’t see what the problem was if I was clearly buying something. On our way out, she spoke under her breath by the door saying our group isn’t welcome. I told her “we were all buying something, we all had masks on and were following social distance protocols” she turned around and immediately said “you better watch your mouth” I was APPALLED. Who talks like that? You’re the owner and this is how you act? I told her if she wanted me to wait outside than she should of have made other people and their group wait outside and she tried telling me they were, but when I turned around to see the other people, I was like “where are they then? ” And she stopped talking and went inside. I will never return back to whites. This situation was completely uncalled for, if you want to implement an organized social distanced plan, you should have someone waiting outside of the store door to tell them right then and there to wait there turn to come inside. Absolutely 0 respect and I will not tolerate they way these workers acted. They shouldn’t even be working there and this owner should NOT be an owner.

I went for cigars. They have a lousy selection of em and quite overpriced, but considering Montauk I think it was ok. Actually there's no decent cigar shop around. The same with tea.

If I could give them zero stars I would. HORRIBLE customer service from the male pharmacist to the point of tears. Completely unacceptable. Will never recommend or give them my service again.

Love this store. Full of inventory from candles to bathing suits to books cards brick and brac. It's not summer till I go there

Today I went into Whites of Montauk with my husband. We were looking for some flip flops shoes so we can walk on the beach. We found some flip flops and slippers and decided purchase them. There was no price on one of the flip flops. The cashier asked a woman name Dee to locate the price. She is an older woman with a west Indian accent. This woman was rude and disrespectful. She treated my husband and I like we were not paying customers. She was not polite to us and treated us like she did not want to help us. We are paying customers and would like to be treated with respect. My husband and myself did not deserve that type of treatment.

Crowded drug and gift store that has anything you could need: Q tips, tissues, jewelry, candy, toys, aspirin, vitamins, diapers, as well as postcards and sweatshirts that advertise you have been to Montauk!

I will never stop at this store again. The Lady who work at this store name Dee is very disrespectful when you ask her questions about a item in the store.

Great place for Montauk souvenirs, newspapers, beach equipment and toys, t shirts, hats, etc. And it's a pharmacy too.

A simple blood pressure medicine 90 Tablets $35.99. CVS is 15.99 and Costco Pharmacy is 14.99 for 100 tablets. Plus Whites over priced prescriptions come with an attitude!

A decent pharmacy that is similar in products th CVS. They have souvenirs for sale as well at prices typical of Montauk.

Absolutely horrific customer service. My 92 year-old grandmother went in seeking a filled prescription. The woman at the register offered no help to her in locating the line for prescriptions - and when my grandmother’s cane and things fell, she continued to offer no help. Thank goodness for the kindness of strangers who helped her in that moment. My grandmother ended up in tears by the time she left. Will never patronize again. What shameful behavior!

Always amazing customer service, and usually have everything you need short of the kitchen sink.

Montauk staple - it's the premier Dept store in Montauk; something for everyone. My family has been spending summers in Montauk for the past 25yrs, visiting & buying something at Whites every summer is a tradition!

I had over $100 in merchandise. My 3 year old had to use the bathroom and was refused by the manager. Appalling to treat a small child that way. I did not purchase from them. Poor customer service.

Great place that had done of everything. Expected "Montauk tax" prices, but was happily mistaken, as their prices are reasonable to the area.

The best place to buy a souvenir in Montauk, N. Y.from a t-shirt to a key chain love that place I never buy just one thing from there!

Nice place to get knick-knacks, or Montauk gear, but pretty expensive. The place is cramped with stuff, but it does have a decent selection for gifts. Registers are at the back of the store, so there's not a lot of room for lines. Still a nice place to get something you forgot to pack for a trip.
