Whiting Road Nature Preserve reviews
8Went out to log a couple geocaches. Trails slick in spots. Temps in the high 50's meant deer ticks were active.
Too close to the the residents homes, with people bringing dogs that disturb ALL forms of natural life! TOO MANY TRAILS!
As a mountain bike trail it's incredible and tons of fun. Perfect for beginners or advanced riders looking for a laid back trail to ride. The trails are mostly smooth, very flowy, with a few descent climbs here and there. There were points where you can get going pretty darn fast so watch out for hikers and other riders enjoying the trails as well.
The trails are beautiful and are very well maintained and parking is a breeze. There are maps at all the intersections making it nearly impossible to get lost. There are lots of trail options so you can choose the distance that best suits you!
There was a trail, there was nature. Not too much more to expect, the trail was well kept and had a few muddy areas but that's no surprise
Fun hiking spot and the first wildlife we have spotted this year! The cutest three Garter snakes just watched us pass by.
We’ve gone to this park several times and while it isn’t particularly thrilling it’s nice for a short hike. But today we were run off the path repeatedly by cyclists-sometimes the same ones several times in a row, with little remorse. The paths aren’t wide enough for this at most places and you have to step into the underbrush. I’m giving one extra star for the paths, as they are nicely marked. But we won’t be going back anytime soon as our idea of a relaxing afternoon is NOT getting run off the road by rude old people on electric assist bikes. Go somewhere else.
The Whiting Trail is beautiful and kept up well. Autumn is a particularly gorgeous time to hike it!
