Somewhat pricey, well stocked with fresh, ready eat, freshly baked, and specialized products, from A to Z

My favorite place to get my protein bars, vitamins, organic fruits also they have amazon lockers near the exit where you can pick up your Amazon deliveries or drop off your returns.

Everything I expect when visiting Whole Foods. Great selection. Friendly staff. Clean, bright, and convenient. Quite busy when we arrived, but the have a great system for getting people through the cashier line quickly.

I like the shop and its products. What I find unbelievable though is the waitinglines at checkout. If I don't come in at 8 in the morning I usually spend at least 15 minutes in line (and that a couple of times per week) What a waiste of my time. I moved to NY and the US 6 months ago and am not used to this. More registers should be opened. In the country I am from, we have different lines at every register and as soon as there are 3 customers in line an extra register will open OR the 4th customer will get his groceries for free.

This is one of the smallest Whole Foods stores in the city (others being Chelsea and 57th St.). Although I do not shop at the Whole Foods as frequently as before for last a year or two, when I do, it’s worth to visit multiple locations. Because Whole Foods encourages localization, each store has its character and I think each shift managers have more freedom than conventional supermarkets’ managers.

For those who have heard of the media once describing the Whole Foods as “whole paycheck”, it’s just another reminder how clueless the media is. If you are a story teller, at least tell true stories. I have bought turkey parts (thighs, wings, etc) for $. 49 lb, Bread Alone apple pie for $10 (50% off), a half pound of chocolate from Chocopologie for $1.99 (I think the reg price is $8.99), you just got to look around!

Alfredo, who used to be a shift leader at the Columbus Circle, now runs here. He is one of those who is happy to take care of his customers, perhaps even above his responsibilities. One time I was walking from the Upper West Whole Foods store to the Upper East location, carrying 4 bottles of JĀSÖN soap, I miscalculated my physical capability and felt that my arms were going to fall off if I walked a few more steps with them. I asked Alfredo if he could keep two for me (those I bought at the Upper West, not at his store), which I am certain that’s above his responsibility. His response? He immediately said no problem, and put the bag with the bottles with my name to a shelf and kept them for me till I went back. Your sense of customer service is appreciated, Alfredo, cheers!
