Window World of Buffalo, Depew NY

I waited 6 months for my windows to be installed which I completely paid upfront for. The installers didn't do everything that they were supposed to do. It took another 2 months to get the money owed to me afterward. Some time during all of this saga. I asked a salesman during a phone call about another window and coming to my home to price it. The salesman during this call. Googled my address to see the window I asked about. For whatever reason then. I was told by that salesman. That it would cost too much to do. He never set up an appointment or wanted to get to a point where he could price it out formally. Mind the fact that I have purchased 17 or 18 windows already from him before. Was a purchase of a single window not worth selling one to me?
I actually had in mind to purchase another 4 more windows. Not one of any of the pervious sold ones were based models. Heavier this. Better that. And whistles and bells details too. Why such a reply? In other words, don't count on good interactions when dealing with anyone with this outfit. And good luck actually speaking with someone if it's not to buy something from them. Voicemail and no call backs are all you will get then.

Company has gone downhill. They did windows in my 2 previous homes years ago & I had no issues. They installed windows in my current home about 5 years ago and 3 of the 6 windows had the seals fail. Customer service is terrible. You never speak to a live person when you call and are forced to leave a message which usually goes unanswered until several messages are left. I’ve had to follow up several times to see if my sash replacements were ordered/received and had to call multiple times to schedule install. They also charged me a “trip fee” to replace windows that are covered under warranty. For these reasons they’ve lost my business and that of my family’s. Based on my experience, my parents decided to contract with another vendor to have all of the windows replaced in their home. Therefore, they not only lost my business but my family’s as well.

I purchased 8 windows, including one large picture window, and Window World came in $1000 less than a local competitor. We were surprised to find that the windows came in about a month early and we set up an install date that worked for our family. The crew of two men came to our house around 10am and they worked tirelessly to finish by the late afternoon. (I was told that they normally had a third worker, but he was out). They did a fantastic job, cleaned up everything when they were finished and we are so pleased with our new windows!

I researched all the replacement window companies in the WNY area. I got 5 estimates. (They were not the cheapest, they were the most honest). I was a little nervous about choosing Window World because of the bad reviews. Well low & behold my 4 windows & sliding glass door look wonderful! No mess at all. My installer Dave & his crew were very professional & courteous and neat. They cleaned up everything. Thanks Window World & Dave, I love my new windows!

Bottom three windows replaced that are supposed to “match” my others on the upper part of the house. Color is VERY off. I needed brown, not red? Called to ask what can be done and spoke to Amanda who agreed it does not match “at all”! Only to be told a few days later by management “it’s not my problem, that’s what you ordered”. Inside looks nice but very disappointed the company wasn’t really willing to work with me on a solution other than to send the sales rep out and if I want a new color I have to pay for those new windows.right…

Windows always look great inside… Our installer Matt did excellent job inside and outside trimming around the vinyl siding Really updating the look of the house.

Terrible company. Did horrible work. Took over a year. And now it’s impossible to have them address issues. PLEASE RUNNN AWAY FROM THEM. I can see why they quote cheap prices

Would give 5 stars but my new window sash was cracked. It was replaced in 31 days. Great salesperson, installer and showroom

I just want to let people know that their customer service is awesome. So I had business with window world and the 2 guys that installed the windows never finished the job. So I called the office and she passed the the picture I sent to Jamie. I then received a call from Jamie and he said he will have a guy come out and finish the job that was never finished. I said thank you so so very much. A couple days later a guy showed up his name was Matt. Jamie thank you so very much for sending Matt he did a wonderful job on completing my window project. Nicely done.

Window World installed 9 of our windows today. From our very first call with a salesman in April to installation today we had a great experience. My wife in particular is not easily impressed but she was thrilled with the final product and how great the installers were. Craig did our estimate and was resistive and great to work with. I was nervous about them based off some of these reviews but am glad I went with them.

DON'T EVEN THINK OF BUYING ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE. Improper installation of six windows resulted in windows leaking water inside the walls and ten thousand dollars of damage to my home. The siding, plywood, insulation, drywall all had to be replaced. Window World never even called me to see if I needed help. They then took away my window warranty. They never even returned my calls for help. They never even made an effort to repair the damage they caused to my home. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS.

The installation crew did a great job the salesman was right on target with everything my house was cleaners then before they came great job

I would use 0 stars if possible. They came to give us an estimate and told us 3 months before windows come in. We said no problem. 5 months go by and still no phone call. I called and they said my windows were in a month ago, someone should’ve called. They booked my installation a month from that phone call. The 1st 3 appointments were no shows. It’s Now 7 months since they took my deposit and they install my 11 windows. The installer decides to use his friends to help him, who are not associated with window world. The next day I find at least three major things missing from our bedrooms, totaling almost $7k in cost. Window world did not take action or responsibility and stopped answering my calls. They did take my money though. I paid in full for my windows with no compensation of my missing items. DO NOT USE THEM! THEY CANNOT BE TRUSTED!

Their price was almost half of every quote I received and they still delivered top notch service, with high quality products, on time. I was eager to suggest them to another friend who was looking for new windows - that friend, of course, also decided to go with Window World of Buffalo.

Save yourself. Do Not Use this Company. They will destroy your house. 2 day install took them 6 months. Issues not resolved. They destroyed my framing on 9 windows. Please stay away. Should not be in business. Extensive damage inside and out

I started by leaving a review on Windows world website but they review all of the reviews before they post them on their site so I'm not too confident that they will post my review.

9 years into it with window world windows and I regret doing it. They all leak around the frames there's always condensation around the frames because of air leaks, one of the dual pane seals broke and it's foggy and dirty inside the glass, one of the retractors broke so it's hard to push the window up and down. Whoever measured, measured incorrectly and the windows are too tight in the rough opening. Whoever measures the windows isn't the same person that installs them and the installers are all contractors and they're always complaining that the person who did the measuring is the one who made the mistake but I'm stuck with these windows now. I've called them and left messages I've sent them emails and nobody contacts me. After the fiasco with window world I hired comfort Windows to put a window in and they were marvelous.
