Wingate by Wyndham Lake George

The manager was accommodating to refund partial of our stay. The place was way overpriced to stay there more than two nights. We arrived to our room with the heat turned off. It was 19° outside. There was one thin blanket on the bed, as for another one, never received it. The bathroom was dirty. They only supplied two towels for a three nights day. The breakfast was a joke. They ran out of muffins. So you had your choice of waffles cereal or toast. No fresh fruits, no eggs, no sausage or bacon. They advertise a free hot breakfast, it's barely a step up above a continental, It's barely a step up above a continental. They appear to be taking many shortcuts to save money at this location.

Stayed there over the weekend got my pickup truck plates stolen had to drive back home with no plates on my truck. Fortunately did not get stopped by police cost me 400 dollars for new registration and plates so sad. Just watch your car when in the parking lot.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed at. When searching the internet for hotels in that area, we picked this one because they claimed to have an indoor pool which they didn't. Service was horrible. We couldn't even get in the door when we arrived. Had to stand in the cold, call the number and wait. The beds were very uncomfortable with no fitted sheets so everything was all bunched up by morning. I would have given it 0 stars but it was a place to sleep.

$200 security hold for a $100 hotel room? I don't think so. No wonder their parking lot was empty. This place will be out of business in the next year, I can almost guarantee it. Not to mention they have a $100+ cancelation fee, what a scam.

There is no indoor pool or hot tub. Breakfast was a brown bag with a muffin, granola bar, and bag of chips. Front doors lock at night and until after 7 am. Photos on the website are stock photos and not of the hotel currently.

Our stay was during non-peak time so the hotel was very quiet.

Rooms are ok. Breakfast.blah. The waffle mix had an odd flavor.

A nice hotel but had some power issues in the room. The lights just wouldn’t stay on. But other than that a very nice room.

Rooms were spacious, but the beds didn’t have full sheets and the pillows were not comfortable. The blankets were also not comfortable. At least it’s cheap.

An advantage was that there is a sink outside the bathroom which was convenient because we had a lot of people in my room.

Outside in the parking lot, the local crackheads were kind and considerate.

Breakfast was alright. You get bagels, muffins, yogurt, and waffles. There’s also a nice dining area.

The staff here were very friendly and helped me out when I had to leave a hotel that was filthy. The rooms were clean and updated.

We booked our room with our Wyndham points and they also charged our credit card after we checked out. They have no explanation for why they charged us and believe me, the room was cleaner after we left. The bathroom door wouldn't even shut completely because they had it on the hinges the wrong way. It was probably the loudest hotel I have ever stayed at. There was constant noise in the hallway and kids yelling all night. No one had any consideration for other guest.

Stayed here for one night. What a miserable experience. The room was dirty. The ac unit was leaking inside causing the floor to be wet. Complained several times to the front desk staff and this was not addressed. We had a lot of family staying here. My sister was locked out of her room. She asked for help from the front desk and they were unable to open the door. Their answer was to wait until the morning? How is that a solution? She ended up sleeping on the floor after paying almost $300 for a one night stay at this horrible place. I’m not sure how this place is able to stay in business. After bringing this concern to the staff at the front desk in the morning their only response was that they would look into it. This is the worst experience I have ever had in a hotel. Do not be ripped off by this place. Plenty of other hotels in the areas.

Nightmare they hotwire told 3 star, IS not 3 star ONly 1 star. Door front automatic not working, no gym, the front desk not nice at all, i think wrong management, bad bad bad 1 night cost $220 huh, never come back! Bad experience

The hotel was clean, and the staff was great. Always available, always friendly. The grounds were clean and well kept. Close to town, great stay for the price!

This is a nice hotel for your stay in Lake George. It is in a very convenient spot about a 15 minute walk into center of town or a 2 minute drive. The hotel is a little outdated but still extremely comfortable. The front desk was great Sandra was super helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone in the area.

Hmm. Room was clean. A/C unit was hard to get going, and not running upon arrival, and kind of loud when the compressor kicked in, but we eventually got the room cool. Tub drain. Real slow to empty. Otherwise you'd get 5 stats from me.

Attention to detail when it came to our room cleanliness was very. We booked it via AAA, choosing to spend our 30th Wedding Anniversary in Lake George, NY, being we're from WNY and in the middle of a pandemic, and trying to financially be supportive of our own hospitality community. As a military vet, of which I mentioned to AAA (of which they also asked me if I wanted to make any special requests or notes to the hotel) and this being a VERY SPECIAL OCCASION, I thought upon arrival we'd have been greeted with a CONGRATS at the desk or at the least, a CLEAN room! Yes, the beds were nicely made, but there was dust EVERYWHERE, as if the room hadn't been occupied in weeks, if not a month or so. I say this because there was a noticeable coating of dust on the top of the headboards, furniture, TV screen, lamps, hair and dust in the drawers of the dresser as well. We had alot of luggage and were very tired and my wife decided she would just wipe everything down herself because she didn't want to relocate and have to move everything again. We recleaned and disinfected with a can of Lysol my wife brought along and called it a night. Just wasn't expecting things to be this unattended to. Also the hot tub had large slimy patches of what appeared to be black mold surrounding the intakes. We immediately got out, knowing that this obviously had been this way FOR A WHILE, since regular maintenance/ drainage would definitely have detected this and appropriate sanitation measures could/ should have been taken. We did not however allow this to detour us from still enjoying our little 5 day getaway and marital milestone. Just seems like Wyndham could/ would have been more appreciative and attentive to our patronage and been more sanitary, especially with us being in a pandemic and after a NY SHUTDOWN. Ijs, since THEY asked about my stay and solicited this comment survey. Truly hope THEY read it. All the best in the future.

Disappointed! Front desk is not working good even. And not clean hotel. Don't waste your money.

Overall, good spacious room. No breakfast even though the website indicates it does (due to covid).
Strong smoke smells in hall ways.

Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Appropriate COVID precautions taken. We understood that they couldn't do their standard amazing breakfast but the bag breakfast wasn't a sufficient replacement. However, they were very reasonably priced and the rooms were clean and comfortable.
