Dr. Tse saw me on very short notice at my request. She and the nurse practitioner were fantastic. I’m so grateful to have them.

05/17/2023 Jackson Heights Mount Sinai Clinic/ Appointment with Dr. Winona Tse/ Neurology Specialty.

The purpose of sharing the following experience is to collaborate with future patients (mostly Spanish speakers, especially older adults) (who have been referred to this clinic to the Neurology specialization by Dr. Winona Tse) to to avoid exposing your health care in the hands of this clinic and this medical provider.

The clinic reception staff mostly offer customer service with a bad attitude and the help provided during the medical appointment is very limited.

There is a rivalry between the medical staff and the reception staff; causing an environment of poor attention to the medical needs of each of the patients.

The medical care that Dr. Winona and her medical support staff offered me was too rushed, disinterested, disorganized, and she did not provide me with her services in Spanish after explaining my limited understanding of the English language.

Please understand that although in her profile she lowers her professional abilities as a doctor; It appears that she speaks Spanish. The level of your vocabulary and expression to communicate in that language; It is not at the professional medical level necessary to responsibly address the serious medical needs that Spanish-speaking patients require.

The treatment I received from Dr. Winona and her medical support staff (in the only two appointments I had as a new patient) ; was to show me how fast and informal medical appointments handled by Mount Sinai of Jackson Heights have to be these days (a maximum of 5 minutes).

I was dissatisfied with the mediocre manner of her medical services and without knowing with certainty the medical reason for my neurological problem (which is why I was referred for consultation with her).

As a patient I felt that instead of being in the peace of mind of being in the professional care of a doctor; I was more like being served by an employee from some cheap express takeout restaurant taking my order during the lunch rush hour.

Patients are thanked for taking these comments into account and taking them as an aid in their decision "not to place themselves under the care of this clinic, its administrative care staff or this doctor. "

It is in our hands to make public the attention that the Spanish-speaking community does not deserve; Otherwise this violation of our rights as patients will continue to be promoted.

We must unite in one voice to be heard and treated as the law establishes that every patient deserves to be treated with respect.

Avoid being used as a source of more economic income and valuable experience for this type of clinics and their employees; We all deserve respectful medical service that includes providing considerations specific to our individual medical conditions.
