Was admitted to the trauma unit on 9/6/21 after being hit by a car while on my motorcycle. I had muscle contusions on my lower right leg, and it was later discovered I had a fibula fracture.

The folks in trauma were great and efficient, right up until I was set to be discharged. My nurse told me I was good to go, then disappeared, no further instructions. She later came back saying "you can go home", and when I asked if I could have a wheelchair she said "oh, you can walk". After I explained that I could not in fact walk, she begrudgingly got me a wheelchair and then disappeared again.

I later found out I was supposed to stop at the hospital pharmacy to receive medications, but wasn't ever given instructions to do that. Just handed discharge papers and told to go home.

Super cool experience, especially since MHRMC is the only level one trauma center within reasonable distance of my accident. I really didn't have a choice.

I understand hospitals are spread thin due to staffing and COVID, but this was very simple stuff.

I was taken here after a nasty car accident. Definitely not my first choice for care. ER is understandably busy. I was in the ER for over 5 hours. No pain medication or anything given until I was there for a few hours. The doctor was frequently distracted but attentive when he finally saw me. I was given something after I was there at least three hours. The staff is really stretched to their limits. I am thankful I was conscious enough to advocate for myself. The staff and my doctor were helpful.when I saw them. If you need help you will wait.so plan ahead. Doctor I had was ok but seemed indifferent to what was happening with me. Not reassuring at all. Definitely made me want a second opinion on any diagnosis. The techs and nurses are really great though.

Waiting room was empty, I waited for 4 hours and didn’t even get triaged by a nurse so I decided to drive a couple hours to go to a real hospital. I would rather die than go to this hospital again. I feel sorry for the people in the area.

Always such a long wait and the nurses are so rude. This one nurse Dawn who works night shift is so rude and just mean. Tonight I went in with pains in my side after I just had a procedure and the lady at the front to check me in was RUDE. AS. HELL.she said “if you’re gonna leave then just leave, are you really in that much pain? ” Like excuse me? Never again will I go to that hospital.

So my daughter and I arrived here around 435 pm. I waited about an hr to get in with my 2 year old whi had a high fever of 103.6. I'm happy we were able to get in sooner than later! I was told this hospital had the best pediatric spot so that's why I came there. The nurse hanni was taking care of my daughter he did an amazing job and made us both feel very comfortable! He was such a huge help & definitely knows what he is doing! There was a nurse he brought in before doing ny daughters catheter and she was terrible. She kept telling my sick 2 year old to put on her mask she said it 3 times in a rude manner. She had no bedside manner also. Came off rude and careless. My daughter was screaming crying during the catheter process and all this women cared about was telling my 2 year old to pull up her mask. It disgusts me! Shes 2! 2 and under no mask required! This nurse than was bo help holding my daughter or making her feel comfortable while hanni did the catheter.so after the process was done hanni had to clean up the urine and this same nurse sat there watched my daughter laying with her legs open waiting to be cleaned and crying.the nurse didn't even wipe her up or nothing I was crying for my daughter it was terrible the nurse left her there crying with her legs open! This was on Monday December 27th around 6pm. She was a nurse that hanni brought in for the process.she was TERRIBLE. O don't think I'd ever come back there. Besides that nurse, hanni was AMAZING.after all of this me and my daughter sat waiting for a dr to talk to us and discharge us.we waited about 4 hrs watching tv.we thank left without seeing Any dr. Very very disappointing! The hospital waiting room is filthy and so crammed they really should re do the waiting area!

The food is alright, most of the workers here are not.they are strictly here for the pay, disregard patients in our rooms.the psychiatric doctor, john, was increasingly rude, intolerant and overall not at all what a suicidal person should have to deal with.of course you have the patients who need to be legally admitted by a professional but some of the patients here who have come via suicidal ideations or attempts are nothing but kind to these nurses and the doctor and they are treated like utter dirt.instead of listening to a girl out who was sobbing although very controlled, the social worker just gave her medicine just so she could shut up and did not say a single thing else to her.many valid other options like partial hospitalizations or at home care for these people were disregarded, and not even allowed to speak about them EVEN if they were a better choice since it is christmas soon and people have very valid reasons to leave the ER early.instead they are forced to stay in a room with random other people, screaming heard from across the emergency room, and their emotions disregarded.the wait time to have someone so much as CHECK whether or not the mental ward had sent a response on room openings is insane and has even been up to WEEKS.this is some people’s very last opportunities and to see them treated this way when they were at the verge of ending their lives is disgusting.they are rotting in here and you are practically doing nothing about them.its not hard to check emails or call someone to see if the room is available every 5-10 hours AT LEAST.

My dad has covid and is very weak and so far we've waited 6 hours just for a room. Don't come here if you have a true emergency because they will not see you in a timely manner.

I arrived at the ER around 2 am after having spent more
than two hours waiting for care at the Kingston ER and not being examined. Mid-Hudson had me through triage and on a stretcher in 10 minutes. Experience was very good from start to finish. Maybe I got lucky because of the timing but this ER would be my first choice next time even though it’s 25 minutes further than my closest ER. Thank you.

Been in the waiting room for over 6 hours now waiting to get a room in A LOT of pain. Who knows how long it will be after that before I get actual care and they can tell me what’s wrong. Sign says they have a 30 minute or less pledge to be seen and that is a JOKE! I came here because I thought they’d be quicker than Vassar but that was not the case at all. Don’t think I’ll be coming back here.

A horrible, horrible, place with clueless staff. Better to drive to any other hospital than to put your life in their hands. What a mess of a place.

Heartless staff, most of them are there for a paycheck. Went there for an emergency sat there for 5 hours. Finally was brought to the ER sat for another hour in the hall way, when the “doctor” finally got to me I asked if I could speak to him privately to tell him why I was there.he said therewasNO place to go speak to him and it would be another20 min. I sat and waited and decided to walk around. I saw an open area where a door could be closed for my privacy and him stading around speaking to the nurses. I left at 1am after waiting 6 hours to see someone. I’ve never been to a hospital where the staff treated me so bad and made me feel like a peasant. I will never go back to this hospital or vassar hospital. The hospitals in Dutchess county are vile. My privacy does not matter? What happened to hippa? Instead he decided I wasn’t good enough to help and went to stand around talking, I knew by his posture and the way he was leaving on the counter that their conversation must have been much more important than helping me. Don’t approach pt when you’re not ready to give undivided attention to them. Hospitals are for profit I’m paying a lot of money to be there.

This is awful place.
A nurse told us my son had dinner first night but he wasn't offer it. She also told us that he refused to provide parent information so that they cannot contact us asap but he actually told it when he registered. They didn't call parents 3 hours after he registered and explained us that it was my son's fault.

After he came in this facility, he was heard only once "are you okay? " from the nurse assistant who is only person seems work properly and no one check his room and his condition. Other adult patients are walking around. He heard a guy entered woman's room and a nurse gave him warning twice "do not enter and touch her. " At same night one guy standard in front of his room and look at him for quite long time. His door isn't locked and open upper half so that any one can enter if they try.

Horrible hospital. I went to the ER was there for hours. She diagnose me with a sinus infection. Ran no test or blood work. I had many other symptoms that didn’t comment to just a sinus infection. I was getting more sick after that. I end up going to northern Dutchess they ran all test and blood work turn out I had tested positive for Lyme disease. Mid Hudson regional cause time to go by being neglectful and everyday is important that pass with Lyme. I would never recommend anyone going to this hospital

My son has epilepsy and he had a very bad and new kind of seizure. We only had him go there because I was allowed to be with. HimThe PA and the nurses were so rude. I Told the PA he needed a certain med. She told me she ordered.it and She lied. I told her he needed it and she said he did not. His postictal was so bad and she told his Dr. He was faking it.
I know my son and he was not.
Once I signed the transfer papers for him to be transferred to NYu hospital where his Dr is, They dropped the ball on him. We sat therefor 8 hours and they did not check on him at all. I would not take my dog there.
STAY AWAY IF YOU CAN. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PLACE

and the nurses

My mother, 87, was brought in by ambulance with a broken wrist and shoulder. Pain meds were ordered around 4: 30 +/-. It’s 5: 35 pm and my mother is writhing in pain after I went to the nurse’s station TWICE! Nurse Stephanie is not paying attention to her patient and hasn’t checked on her since I got here at 3: 45pm. I had to throw a fit in the hallway to get another nurse to find Stephanie. This is disgraceful.
Our Dr was great, radiology was great. Granted everyone part of the hospital is short handed, but 1 hour is too long to wait.
Stephanie just came in, she was short with my mother when she said she was here now with the pain pill. I said it’s been over an hour. She’s in pain!
Not a good experience!
So a turn of events. My mom had a bad reaction and 4 nurses were on it in less than 30 seconds. Im still not thrilled with how the first half of this visit went, but I’m very happy with how it turned out.
