Wölffer Estate Vineyard reviews
17They accommodated us although we were late to our reservation due to traffic. The food and wine was all very delicious.definitely worth the trip from the city!
It is a very nice and pleasant place, very crowded with a very beautiful view and above all where you can enjoy different very tasty sandwiches and also enjoy drinks at ease and inside there is a small liquor store, no matter how much you It takes time to arrive but it is worth going.
Few people realize how I single-handedly developed the Friday nite at Wolfer being one of the first to bring our baby and invite our Blue&Cream friends and family to Crete a community in Sagaponack, so many years ago.
Me and my husband (Asians) walked in and no one acknowledged us, we browsed at the wines, and a group of caucasians walked after us and were greeted right away offered wine tasting spiels, we felt uncomfortable and just left right away.
I guess this crowd is exclusive.
Loved our visit to this winery! We were seated on the back patio with beautiful views of the vineyard. The wine, food, and service was top notch. Vincent ensured our visit was magnificent.
Wolffer absolutely deserves 5 stars! We can’t wait to come back soon.
The vineyard itself is beautiful and picturesque. However, their practice of up-charging their own wine that they make and sell on premises ruins the experience. If you want to have a bottle of rosé at The Wine Stand, it is sold to you at double the price of purchasing a bottle from their gift store. But you aren’t allowed to consume the bottle from the gift store on the premises. The older white woman running the register at The Wine Stand was very rude, but only to those of us who were people of color. Our friend who was white did not receive the same treatment. We will not be returning. I would reconsider a different vineyard if you’re looking to enjoy a peaceful picnic with wine in hand.
Summer in a bottle cote de provence is the way to go. Beautiful vineyard. Would definitely come back.
Terrible. Stay away.
The service so bad, I will never return to this place again
Save your money and go to other place instead of this, I really recommend to the other winery around the area better wine and better service!
A special Thank you to the entire staff at Wölffer Estate Vineyard for making our 2023 Mother's Day memorable. The moment we entered the vineyard we were greeted by the amazing manager Vinny who welcomed our group of 12 and had us seated in about 5 minutes. Our server, Shamus was very helpful and made our day effortless. We were attended by another amazing manager Margaret who was pleasant and full of information. We would highly recommend Wölffer Estate Vineyard to any group that wants to share a great time with family and friends. Thanks again to the entire staff.
Sincerely,
Humphrey Paul
What a lovely afternoon at Wolffer. My husband, our 2 year old, a friend, and I came for a tasting this past weekend. The service and wine was excellent, of course. But best of all, when my son got rambunctious and antsy indoors, he and I were whisked away for a little tour of the grounds by a very nice gentleman named Pedro. We (I) learned all about the grapes and the horses on the property, and my son was just thrilled to be on a golf cart. I’m sure our experience is not typical, but it was a truly special day and was much appreciated. Core memory made! Thank you.
Went on Sunday 5/7 with 2 friends. We didn't have reservations and had to leave. Small in comparison to others on Sound Ave. No other wineries near by. Long drive back to Sound Ave. But had numerous wineries to choose from.
Place on the face, we arrived and were kicked out in a few minutes.don't get close Stay away from this place
Update 2023: Still a good place to visit, just be warned it ain't cheap and the food options are quite limited.
I had always seen Wölffer's wines and more recently ciders in stores, but had never tried them before. Beautiful location that looks like an Italian building from the outside. Tried their wines, ciders, and gin, with the gin being my favorite albeit the gin & tonic I got wasn't very strong. The cider was light and dry, and a nice 6.9% ABV which is higher than average.
The flatbread was good but remember this place is a vineyard first, kitchen second.
I have yet to try their ice wine but they do make it.
Great Wine. Great food. Great service. The warm and friendly reception provides the basis for a wonderful atmosphere for all of the above.
The wine was okay, and it's over price for just a flight of wine. Expect to wait to get a table for tasting.
It’s a nice spot and had good service, but at the end of the day they are charging Napa prices for NY wines. Tasting flights are $34-$40. I just didn’t find the value proposition worth it, but your mileage may vary.
Awful experience. Came with my friends to celebrate my friend’s birthday.
We drove for three hours as returning customers.
They refused service and just served us the check, after a glass broke.each of us drank one glass of wine.
They said they couldn’t understand what we’re saying and and blamed us for being drunk-which was extremely offensive cause we were mumbling because English is not our first language.
They were very defensive and said we are disrespecting them.
An incredible offensive experience, would not be coming back after they made my friend cry on her birthday
