Wolfgang's Steakhouse reviews
18 I had an Amazing experience!
The Manager welcomed us nicely,
Server very attentive and friendly.
My Girlfriend took the Filet mignon and I chooses the ribeye!
Both delicious.
Will definitely come back.
This joint is above a subway stop, below a SUNY, in a residential pre war building. People, this joint is surrounded by rats, not due to their sanitary but because of its environment. If I could afford to eat there, I wouldn't. Have seen rats go from the station to the service elevator, rats be everywhere so I imagine when one can afford expensive food, they'd choose a joint away from a subway station, they share tunnels, remember nyc is not on solid ground anymore, the restaurant is beneath street level, safe conduit for our mean, hungry, dirty neighbors, rats that don't discriminate, in fact, have seen more around there than in the station on e33rd st. Great customer service, IMHO, not savvy to eat in a bassement sharing space with a subway station. Tis a democracy, venture where one wishes, beware, you are not alone
Perfect porter house steak and the best I've ever had. Totally worth for the money. For 3 Asian adult, it was only 250 incl wine, cocktail, beer.
If you want to receive death threats " I will put you to your grave", then definitely go there. The picture below shows the area of the incident. Three men began mocking and laughing at me speaking with my mother in Spanish. THE RESTAURANT STAFF REFUSED TO HELP AND GIVE THEIR NAMES UNTIL I ASKED FOR THE 3RD TIME (THE HOSTESS MALE) AT ABOUT 11PM. HE DID NOT LET ME SPEEK AND TALKED OVER ME THE ENTIRE TIME.
THIS IS A HOMOPHOBIC ANTI QUEER RESTAURANT. I will never return to homophobia, specially in Park AVE.
PS - They throw out all of the homeless / addicts from that exact area (picture below), before they open. So what is the difference? White males get get special treatment and can get away with anything they want? And feminine, gay puertorican men cannot seem to be RESPECTED in this restaurant. Truly a shame such an iconic restaurant is homophobic and only pro-rich-whites. (I can afford the restaurant weekly).
QUEERS DESERVE TO BE TREATED LIKE EQUALS
SILENCE = DEATH (ACT UP)
I was stuck in a corner. He personally pushed me onto the desk and pushed me into the corner.
It was rare, so I ordered rare, but the meat was cold, so they complained that it was cold, so you ordered rare.
When I cooked it again, it was almost medium to medium well done.
(I originally ate it rare, but I only allow medium rare, but phew.)
And unlike the 42nd street place, the bread before the meal was cold.
Butter does not melt on bread
I recommend this place if you want to eat a little while paying a small fee to the people of the rainforest. It was a waste even though I only paid 10 percent for the food! If I had just one won in cash, I would have paid one and finished it.
The steak came out on a hot plate.
I ate it very deliciously after cutting it.
The atmosphere is a bit dark but charming.
It's a place I want to visit again no matter what anyone says
whatever was the best
Easily my favorite steak in Manhattan. The service is always fantastic though depending on when you sit down there restaurant can be quite loud. Don't miss the bacon appetizer!
I am the same, and most Koreans will come to see the blog that came out when they searched for New York steak restaurants, but I will not evaluate the food separately. First of all, it is very noisy. It's so loud that you can't have a conversation with the person in the front seat. And the spacing between the seats is also narrow, so as servers pass by, they keep tapping chairs and hitting the back of the head. While eating a meal worth 300,000 won, the taste of food is lost regardless of whether it is tasty or not. It was posted at the entrance that it had been selected for Michelin for 16 years or so. I heard that Michelin doesn't evaluate food simply by its taste. I usually give a high rating to help the store, but I can't do that here. I ruined all the time I picked and picked on an important day with an important person.
Extremely disappointing given the price point. Service was great, everything else was meh.
We originally wanted to order two Rib Eyes but was up-sold the Porterhouse for two. Big Mistake. Our medium-rare Porterhouse Steak (for two) was overcooked, under seasoned (no seasoning), and was just a bad cut of beef (too much gristle).
Mashed potatoes were under seasoned and dry. Lobster mac and cheese was pretty good tho!
When we mentioned that we were heading to New York City, we got recommendations for two steak restaurants. Having visited both places, I can say with absolute certainty that Wolfgang's Steakhouse is an absolute gem! First off, its location is fantastic, and the online reservation process is a breeze. The staff working there are incredibly welcoming. I went with my kids, and they were considerate in suggesting menu options that suited our needs and consistently attentive throughout. The filet mignon I ordered was truly outstanding. Whenever I crave steak, Wolfgang's Steakhouse is definitely the place I'll choose. Thanks once again!
The meat is delicious, but it's too noisy at the level of noise pollution, and the bread comes out cold, really beyond imagination.
Kince Gallagher Peter Luger is much better
Good food but far from great food. The quality of the food was great however the flavors subpar. I enjoy char normally but this was a bit much.
Overall I still wish my first choice was available (Hillstones) but we got a late start.
Took my boyfriend for the first time after telling him that this is my favorite place a hundred times. No server was wearing a mask properly. Kept us waiting by the door, but they sat two parties who came after us first. The servers kept kicking my bf’s chair, no apology whatsoever. No one said “thank you” when bringing the check and after we paid the bill.
Best meat in town, great and efficient service, beautiful setting. The only caveat is that the dining room is noisy if you plan to have a quiet conversation with your dinning companions.
The best steakhouse i ever gone too in nyc. The steaks and wines are delicious and the wine was perfect. I highly recommend Wolfgangs steakhouse
It seems that the steak tastes delicious because it is grilled with butter. The staff is friendly and the food comes out quickly. I ate today's soup, and I liked that the crab meat was chewy and warm. I added a tip of 20% as gratuity and gave the bill, so I calculated it and came out right away. Korean customers are likely to be 1/4. It's not a quiet atmosphere, but it seems like a popular restaurant because there are a lot of people.
If you are looking to be able to hear the people at your table, request a table in the back, the front tends to be very loud.
