Very clean with the friendliest staff. I found the location perfect for getting out and about in Brooklyn as well as Manhattan for touristy things as well as seeing local friends. I will be staying here again for sure.

My son and I have truly enjoyed our stay at Wyndham Garden so much that we don’t want to leave, It is so peaceful here. Staff is cool and pleasant. Rooms are immaculate and decent in size. My favorites are the king size bed and the shower.

The only thing that I didn’t like is they charge hotel guests almost $45 a day to park their vehicle. In my opinion, if you book a room you should be entitled to park for free. Breakfast is provided but you have to pay for that as well.

There are plenty of food options in the area. The train station is about three blocks away. I would definitely return back to this hotel in the future because it is nice.

I liked it. Food is affordable. I’m not an expert in Asian foods to grade it compared to another place. Still was good and fast as well. Speak up thou to get the staffs attention

Took $50 deposit per night, didn’t inform me in advance, just found out when I checked in. Then it takes a month to get the money back
When I got in contact with them to send a cancellation request they sent an automated reply without actually answering or sorting out my question

I stayed for one night and met two employees. The one that checked me in and the one that checked me out. Both were very nice.

Pros:
The room was small but decent sized and modern.
The bathroom appeared recently updated.
Wifi had a decent signal. I was able to stream some shows without an issue.

Cons:
The showerhead didn't have good pressure.
There was no top sheet on the bed which I found odd.

The room was really cold and I tried adjusting the thermostat with no success. I probably should have called the front desk but it was already late and I didn't want to wait for assistance so I just put a sweatshirt on instead. I'm sure they could have fixed it but I just wanted to warn others of the weird thermostat. The setting said "68" but the room was reading at "59"

Parking:
They have a small lot and charge $44 to park without in/out privileges according to the sign. The employee who checked me in said that I can come back, but that they can't guarantee a spot will be available if I leave. She then showed me the security cameras. She made it seem like they only might sell more spots than they have because the person at the front desk will check the cameras before providing the parking pass.

If you know you're leaving early in the morning, you can save the cost of parking by finding a spot on the street. Just be aware that the "no stopping or standing" on the street is daily from 7-10am. I choose the street parking route because I had to be at a meeting by 8 anyway and used it as an excuse to go find something for breakfast beforehand.

Lesson learned (not the hotel's fault) :
If there is a bedside clock but you use your phone's alarm, check that the clock isn't set by the previous occupant. It went off at 4: 30am.

The fees were unexpected as well as the rooms having a see through bathroom. U can see silhouettes. It is nice overall with the cleanliness and location. The maid came in once. The front desk staff were friendly. The breakfast said free on website ad Travelocity. So beforwarned that it's not a free continental breakfast. 15 to 20 per individual. We just ate at a Lil Cafes.

Stayed at the Wyndham Garden in Brooklyn's Sunset Park neighborhood for an extended weekend. The hotel was clean, our room was clean, staff was friendly, parking was easy. I hate paying $40+ tax/day for parking at a hotel.but I've learned that's just how it tends to be in city hotels.

My only complaint would be in the room there is VERY limited space to put your stuff. There are NO hooks on the walls for hanging anything. The only place to hang your towels is IN the shower which is weird especially when you have more than one person staying in a room. There are also no shelves in the shower, except for the weird towel shelf which is metal and not a solid surface. Meaning there isn't anywhere to put your shower items either.except on the floor. The room has some drawers and a lil' closet to put your clothes which ended up being fine for two people but I can't imagine having four people in this room.

Also, not sure what the status of the hotel restaurant was. I didn't see it open the duration of our stay but I also didn't ask anyone about it because it wasn't high on my priority list.

Overall, I'd recommend this hotel if you need to stay in the Sunset Park area! Felt very safe and walkable.

Not a hotel, at best an Airbnb. They do not fully service your room. They will only change the towels when you ask. Also many hidden fees when checking out so be careful. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel but the neighborhood is good.

The service is bad, they are rude and do not want to make things right. Do not stay here if you want to enjoy your days.

Hotel is ok but not good. Small rooms and begins to look pretty dated. Looks bad from the outside, is painted pink! The so called continental breakfast is just to simple, sorry. If you want an egg you must pay 5 dollar extra!

Personel is good and helpful. Beds are perfect. View from the hotel on Manhattan is very nice. Metro to Manhattan is easy and will take you about 20 minutes. Chinatown is closeby and special to walk. Feels as if you are in China.

Neihbourhood were the hotel is situated is generally seen pretty bad. Felt like we were in a slum, although there are some nice Chinese restaurants in the area and some nice things to see, if you know how to find them. Visit Greenwood cemetary, you will not regret it.

If i were you, just book a hotel in Manhattan

The images online are not at all representative of the hotel - it’s run down and old. On top of that, they entered my room while I was gone even though I had a do not disturb sign out. Everything is old in the NYC, so maybe I should have expected this, but I was very disappointed. Lastly, the green lights on the windows kept me up all night- the curtains did little to keep out the light.

Someone was smoking next to our room. Had to deal with 2nd hand smoke. Don’t have a car they don’t promise you a parking space but you have to pay to park on property this hotel is okay. But go down the street to the next hotel

I won't say this is the best location. The rooms are ok. What made me like this place is Antonica, the person at the front desk, we had an issue and she helped to resolve it right away. Her customer service was amazing. Thank you!
