X-Files Preservation Collection reviews
18This place is awesome! Owners are very knowledgeable and super friendly. The space is small, but impressive. I had been trying to make it there since it opened, and it was totally worth the trip. Not only seeing the display, but also being able to talk to another super fan was an amazing experience. Highly recommend. I want to believe.
Great collection! Many items from both the show and the movies. The owner gives a nice tour of certain areas and exhibits to share some of the history around the objects. Definitely knowledgeable and available for any additional questions. The preservation of this memorabilia is extensive and admirable! There is a gift shop with souvenirs available for purchase. There will be future events with members of the cast and crew at this venue and in the community.
Loved the show love the collection! Stopped by on a cold rainy afternoon. Glad I did. Got a GREAT personal tour by the owner. Almost too much to take in. Totally going to re-watch the series and revisit the collection! Really cool stuff!
If you are a fan of the X-Files then this is a must to visit. You could easily spend a couple of hours looking at everything.
What an extraordinary collection of props and memorabilia - an absolute MUST SEE for all X-Files fans!
What an experience! We were blown away by the informative owner and the real props that were used on the show! My brother and I are named after the show (Dayna and Foxx) so it was amazing to see the origin of my mother's love for the series. Not seeing many episodes myself, I'm excited to watch it and see if I can point out things in the show from the items we saw in the museum! Totally worth a stop and even interested my husband who had never heard of the series. P. S. The pinball machine IS A MUST PLAY!
What a collection! An amazing place! Alot to see! The owner was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. If I could give this museum a rating higher than 5, I would. Admission price is very reasonable and prices for collectables is very affordable. I recommend to anyone.
Such a cool place with lots to see! Very friendly and informative. Worth a trip for any level of fandom.
A definite must see for any X-Files fan! Jim and Kelly also host X-Files events and it’s a great place to buy X-Files merchandise too! If you are in upstate New York near Albany definitely check the museum out, you won’t be disappointed!
My husband and I had the best time at the X-Files Preservation Collection. Meeting fellow X-philes, seeing the props and memorabilia, meeting Chris Carter and Keith Arbuthnot.it was overwhelming. I loved every minute of it and I can't wait to go again.
This is a must see for any X-Files fan and is 100% worth the trip. I drove 4.5 hours and would do it again in a heartbeat. So much to see and appreciate and it was like reliving my childhood seeing all the screen used props and costumes.
It's an amazing space, I love that the collection keeps growing. It has gotten me back into watching the show, ah the memories ️ My 17 year old was amazed by the owners knowledge and she loves the show.
I went for the grand opening and it was such an incredible experience! Jim and Kelly, the owners, are keeping the X Files alive forever with this collection. They are great people, who are so passionate about preserving everything they can. So many great items from the show, and they have even more that will be displayed! If you love the X Files, you need to visit!
This is a dream come to any X-FILES fan. An Incredible amount of screen used Memorabilia, which is displayed so you can get up close. So many interesting fun items, pinball machine, Original drawings/Casting, pictures. A Definite destination while visiting the Saratoga Springs area.
What an amazing treat to have the only X-Files museum in my own State. Jim and Kelly are the real deal and want to share their joy with the world and preserve a cultural phenomenon. I can’t wait to see other stars from the show, whether they were behind of or in front of the camera. Guys… the Truth is in Wilton, NY.
I grew up watching the X Files and to see the expert care and craft that Jim and Kelly put into meticulously curating all the major and minor elements that went into the making of this cornerstone of American culture was an absolute dream come true. The collection is a work of art and a wonderful homage to a show that is so much more than just a show and has meant so much to so many. I came the day after the grand opening and had a lovely chat with Jim- the stories behind how he and Kelly put together the collection are just as fascinating as the items themselves. This museum is an undeniable labor of love. All I can say is a huge thank you for bringing this into existence and giving all us X-Files fans a place to call home. The truth is in here!
The X-Files Preservation Collection is the 'must see' location for any X-Files fan. So many great artifacts from the series. The picture is from the opening with Chris Carter cutting the ribbon. Keith Arbuthnot, on the right, is Mr. Chuckleteeth in Season 11 episode 'Familiar'. Jim and Kelly are the owners. Browsing through the collection brings back such great memories. My favorite artifact: The doll from 'Chinga', S5: E10 which was co-written by Stephen King and Chris Carter.
