Xcellent hair plaza reviews
19 If you want your hair FRIED and Damaged then go to this salon!
Poor technique and expertise is used. They pay you $5 to write a good review here. That should explain a lot.
Don't think about showing a pic to them because it wont come out the way you want your hair to be. They took 5 hours to do my hair and it looks exactly what I didn't want.ashy and damaged smh. Don't go to them for advice bcus they won't admit if they can't achieve what you're looking for and they will make sure to ruin your natural hair.
I had the most perfect layered haircut here! Loved the customer service and the end results
This is the only salon I trust with my hair! I’ve been coming here for years. They pay really great detail to attention and make sure customers have a comfortable experience. I always book with Tony and he never disappoints:)
I have been going here for over 2 years now, probably about 10 times or so, and I love this place! I get a wash, cut, and blow dry and I don't trust anyone else with my hair but them. I have very thick, 2C hair and they get it right every.single.time! It's also more on the affordable side, depending on your length and cut. For me, it never goes over $55 before tax and tip. Can't speak about the other services because I never got them but it's amazing!
Absolutely loved this hair salon! I went to get a hair cut and brought my mom along, they accommodated us by giving us an appointment that worked with their and our availability. I told my brother to try it out and he also left with a great hair cut. Will recommend to fam and friends! 100000/10 stars. They’re so professional and quick!
Update: I still come for my hair cut-brothers hair cut- & moms haircut. I have an appointment at 3: 30pm and they’ll be actually ready to take me in like an hour after appointment, so like 4: 30pm. Other people were also becoming annoyed to the fact that they had to wait even longer even though they had their appointment too. So my 5/5 is a 4/5 tbh just for the longggggg wait. I do enjoy coming here for the hair cut, since I don’t color my hair- it looks really good though!
& would like to add that we all have different length, and texture hair. My brother is wavy-straight, I’m wavy, and my moms is curly - we previously would go to a salon in sunnyside but they didn’t really give her THE CUT especially since it’s hard to find places that do a good job with curly hair. Satisfied with the service just not the wait even though we have appointments.:)
They do their best to try to achieve the look that you want. The stylist take their time to cut and make sure your hair is even. However, today I felt like it was over priced. Left paying almost 600 for highlights cut and keratin. I've done the same service before at the same location and Bayside location for my wedding with even long hair and didn't spend as much previously. I'm sure my quote was haircut included in the beginning but person added additional at end of service. The lady helping out was rough brushing out hair and i was really concerned of the fallout from bleach. Also not really sure if they are really adding olaplex to their bleach. They charge you for it but I honestly think they do some shady business and don't use the product claimed in the quote given when you come in. I havent seen them put olaplex in bleach. Will most likely go elsewhere for hair next time due to dishonesty.
The barbers actually try to do what you ask for, instead of doing the one men's hairstyle they know. Appreciate them for that.
On Sunday, my son went to this salon to get a perm. My son has very short hair on the top and a fade on the sides but at the end of the perm he was charged $120+$10 tip. It was way overpriced for his short hair. The outcome was nice but it was worth MUCH less from how much he paid. I was SHOCKED by hearing how much it was and I'm very disappointed. I am planning to visit them and ask them why they charged him $120 when on the board it said $80-150 for a perm and for how short his hair was it should've been $80 MINIMUM. They can't think they can steal from my son because he's underage.this is seriously disappointing and disgusting. If this is how they treat customers then I will definitely NOT recommend them to anyone.
This is my 3rd time visiting for a haircut. The 2nd visit was disappointing because the hairstylist cut my hair quickly while doing another customer's haircut at the same time even when I had an appointment. For today's visit, the hairstylist took his time and cut my hair with detail. It's best to get a haircut during off peak hours.
I have gotten my hair colored here twice and had positive experiences both times.the price for a balayage and a touch up balayage was the same which was a little disappointing but i was happy with overall results.i did a more natural color so the fade wasn’t too bad.i have also done keratin at the salon which has held up well
I’ve been going to this place for a while and I never had a problem but last time I went it was the worst experience that I never had I took my mom to do a highlight and a show to them what she wanted and since her hair was short they propose to do the whole hair and we were agreed with that but they put a total different color (we asked for a dark red and they put a pink one and for him there was no problem) the guy who was on charge of taking the payment was really rude with us and he pretty much charged me way too much (for dying her whole hair he charged us $360+ tip) for a simple dying hair and the worst thing is that now the hair of my mom is really damaged and we have to keep doing treatments for her. If they have a problem, they are too aggressive and they don’t know how to solved it.
Great place. I walked in and got seated right away. He took my coat and went to the back to hang it up. I told him what I wanted and 14 mins later he was done. Very good. $20, plus tip. Great deal. Wash and dry is another $10. It's true my Chinese is non existent, but he quickly figured out what I wanted.
It's a busy place, but runs very efficiently. The front desk was friendly and helpful. You can even call and book an appointment. Dillon's English was Xcellent.
My daughter got the cutest haircut and they were so sweet to her so professional and stylish
Had my first appointment yesterday and had a great experience:) The last place I went in Ditmars, the lady burned half my hair off trying to get blonde but I came here and got excellent service (haha get it). But, seriously the men who worked on my hair were so professional and did amazing, I've been getting blonde in my hair for 10 years now and I've never had it done so fast/well. Needed a new place after moving here and I'll definitely stick to this location! Highly recommend if you're unsure where to go!
I’ve always had a wonderful experience here. From the wash, color, and cut, everything was meticulously done. They really took the time to make sure the color was exactly what I wanted. I love my hair.
Love them! Used to live above the salon so I started going and now I go out of my way to come here. Great head massages, quick and cute cuts. If you don't like the style, they change it, no questions ask. Also very affordable. Highly recommend!
I go here occasionally for a wash & blowout and that’s the only service I would trust.
Be aware, they burn your hair when you get a curly blowout the smoke coming out of the curling iron was concerning.
The haircut is not bad but the service is getting worse and worse. I didn’t get to cut my hair even after I made an appointment and arrived on time.
I would say it's my fault my haircut didn't come out great. I called the salon and they said they specialize in curly hair. I talked to the cashier up front and he said yes, they specialize in curly hair. I trusted that they meant my type of curly hair, even if they aren't my background (Asian vs Latino), but I suppose I wasn't clear enough.
I feel like it's better to just send a person away if you don't work with their hair type. Of course, they overcharged me, too. I said I wanted to tip 15% and the bill showed $15, so I had to correct the cashier. My hair isn't in too bad shape so it's whatever, it will grow back, but was still hoping for something different.
