Amazing Restaurant
Food is fresh. I recommend the Kara Age, so crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, just amazing!
They make you feel like home! Food tastes amazing, and the customer service is top-notch! Oh, and the Ramen, uff no words for it, is delicious.

I grew up in Queens and ate plenty of ramen growing up. When I moved up here a few years back I was so disappointed until I found this spot. The ramen here is actually amazing. I tried every spot within 10-15 miles and nothing comes close.

Our favorite and only sushi spot we will eat at. The quality of fish is fantastic, and the menu is the perfect size. Me and my boyfriend have been coming for years. They are so consistent and that proves it all. My favorite is Hirame Usuzukuri & Nabeyaki Udon. George and Stephanie we can’t thank you enough. If you haven’t tried it yet, here is your sign!

A true authentic Japanese experience! I can’t believe this is in Mahopac! I think it’s amazing and I plan on sharing with family and friends!

Worst sushi I’ve ever had. The meal was overall disappointing and took a long time to come out. The waiter seemed overwhelmed by the few tables he was taking care of (it’s a tiny restaurant with about 6 tables). Over priced as well, not worth the money. You can have better sushi from Uncle G’s which is exactly what we did the following day.

My friends and I absolutely love this restaurant. The food is 100% authentic and we are always trying something new here. The food and service is always 10/10. My personal favorite has to be the ramen!

Best Tonkotsu Ramen outside Little Tokyo/Los Angeles. Makes any other NYC/metro Ramen taste like dish water. Worth the drive. I’ve been eating pork Ramen for 25 years, and always on a search. I found my place, and nothing else matters anymore…️ ps—u must try their dumplings. Last time I had dumplings like this was on the Ginza in May 1984.

Excellent Japanese restaurant, great service and I really love the selection of item on the menu. Sushi, Ramen, Udon & Soba noodles, Katsu, Japanese Curry and all the over rice dishes. Plus done extremely well. Our favorite Japanese restaurant.

I love that this restaurant is family owned, the service is great, very friendly and professional. And the sushi is always good. (California roll) I wish there was more of a drink/wine selection but either way its a great place to eat!

My family and I have been coming to Yami Ichi since they opened. I moved to North Carolina 2 years ago and this is the only place I crave when I come back to visit my family. The sushi is always fresh, and the miso ramen is my absolute favorite. The owners put so much thought into their menu and making customers feel at home. Pictured is sushi a la cart, miso ramen, and kimchi. Can’t recommend this place enough!

We have been looking for an authentic Japanese place for a long time. We found it! Small, family-run place. We went with friends who used to live in Japan. They saw a dish they said they had not seen on a menu in the US and last ate 20 years ago in Japan.

This establishment was not to my liking. Food was not bad, but essentially mediocre. I ordered miso ramen. Broth was okay. The noodles were nothing special. The pork (not chashu) had a strange texture. We had takoyaki appetizer, and that was okay.
Service was relatively slow. It's a small operation, and as near as I could see there are only three staff. I believe that is why things were slow.
Perhaps there are so few Japanese restaurants in the immediate vicinity (northern Westchester) that locals like this place. But for my time and money I'd rather spend a teeny bit more for good service and better food.

Absolutely amazing in every way. Anything you order, to go or dine in, will be delicious (the shoyu ramen is so good) and with that you receive amazing service. The owners are such down to earth people and are always incredibly kind. Perfect place, definitely check it out.

Small restaurant in a strip mall with minimal ambience, yet each dish served as it would be in Japan: on a tray with stone crockery. Sake in a Masa Cup; Soup with a shallow wood spoon shaped like a ladle (actually hard to eat from - so I gauchely drank from the bowl).

There is a small Sushi Menu - don't expect fancy, trendy, jumbo rolls, just tasty, fresh fresh served at room temperature, plated simply. This is basically a kitchen restaurant serving Ramen, Soba or Udon with various ingredients in soup or Danbury Bowls. Truly delicious. A godsend in exurbia. The fabulous broth is meat based, so not a lot of vegetarian options.

Terrible service, walked in and nobody around so me and a friend walk to the counter where a sushi guy is busy behind the counter but we're in clear sight.five minutes later a middle aged white man finally walks out and rudely says to go sit down and he'd be with us. 15 minutes later and we're still sitting at the nastiest table no drinks or menus while that white man who I guess is the busboy too was going back and forth from the kitchen waiting about other 3 other tables (all white people) but it was not busy at all.we just left, glad I didn't eat here I have no doubt this place is not authentic.literally any dingy ramen shop in nyc tastes much better than this, along with MUCH better service too.definitely avoid this place if you're a person of color, and just most "restaurants" in this area as well.do yourself and read the real reviews (lowest) and not the paid ones- it's too obvious at this point.
