Yankee Clipper House of Cards, Rochester NY

Terrible experience. Tried to sell my Pokémon cards there and she acted like she didn’t see me and my brother standing out the doorway. She was sitting in there talking to this guy for an extremely long time with his daughter or whatever, and she finally comes out and then immediately goes back inside and locks the door shut with a chain. I go back to try and knock to see if they notice us and she looked at us 3 times and didn’t do anything. Terrible terrible customer service.

Would give negative stars if I could. Went to wrong entrance owner told me to come in from other door.walked around to go in lady at door said they were closed, at 12: 30 on a Friday. Obviously uninterested in good business. Will never be back

Nothing really worthwile. Comic selection was a couple of boxes nothing rare. Seems like an indoor garage sale with slightly better quality items.

Pretty cool place. Definitely not the best customer service. Made you feel like they didn't want you in there at all. And just a note for pokemon people: zero singles or vintage

Like most reviews ups and downs. I was A new person so i was ignored. Old stuff there was like going through my closet. Not much selection on boxes of cards and can’t see the prices. Owner just ate and coughed the whole time. Definitely not the worst card store.

I recently visited the store 3 times over the course of a two-week period. I was a very small potatoes customer, spending only about $20 each time, but the two employees were very pleasant, responsive to my inquiries, and acted like my business was valuable to them. Like others, I am at a loss to understand the negative reviews — it seems like those people walked into a different store. I plan to return again. Their prices are really reasonable and they have a lot of fun things for sale!

This guy has been there since i was a kid, hes obvioulsy doing something right. Our dealings have been great, hes right to the point no b.s,

I think a former reviewer said it best. ’uninterested’. I was the only customer in the shop and received NO attention whatsoever. I asked to see a couple stacks of cards and the young lady stood there the whole time watching me. The owner had no interest in doing anything but talking to a ‘Norm from Cheers’ regular who was just taking up space in front of one of the display cases. I knew exactly what I wanted but ended up walking out. Terrible experience, won’t go back.

Rude, uninterested, the owner not as knowledgeable as he projects. Some neat stuff in there but not worth the terrible experience of dealing with an unpleasant dishonest old man or his equally unfriendly helper. Don’t waste your time!

Didn’t even get a greeting, hello or anything. Can barely see stuff in there. Disorganized. Just felt uncomfortable. Watched me in there. But said nothing to me

Amazing selection and very friendly. Great cards very smart when it comes to crass. Highly recommend to beginning collectors and people that have been collecting for a while.

This place is great if you're looking for any type of older trading cards. He has some modern Pokémon stuff but a lot of sports, and a great selection of card protection, which is impossible to find right now.

My go to for sports cards since 1995! The owner runs an excellent trade day that I highly recommend checking out! The future Saturday Trade Days in 2021 are:

Great store! Plenty of old memorabilia and cards for every decade. The gentleman running the store was a straight forward guy and coll as hell to me. Grabbed some cards and topladers for a solid price. Absolutely going to return for the holidays.

Fun store. Brings me back to my chilhood. Owner and daughter always very helpful andbknowledgable about cards. Good experience everytime.

Surprised about negative reviews. Excellent store and the owners are very friendly and helpful.

The woman I talked to at first was very nice but then the guy who appeared to be the owner jumped in when I had asked her a question and was extremely rude. Told me to leave and call the next time I had a stupid question and not come in to waste his time. Will never get my business at the store or at the local card shows. Cannot recommend a place any less.
