The reviews detailing the lies are 100% spot on. This place is a business they are not about your child, some of the teachers do care, but the management doesn’t. It shows how they are trying to offset a negative review by posting a positive one by an employee that works there, Joelle you should be ashamed!

The operator of YMCA not at all great at answering questions, I would never call them again.

4 months ago, the YMCA’s Kidz Lodge Daycare kicked my son out after he had been there for 2 1/2 years. He had began having issues when he got a new teacher, Alley (not listening when it was time for learning, yelling back at his teacher and pushing when frustrated. Not what we think is okay, but consistent with a 4 yr old testing his boundaries). We argued that it was more than just him and to recognize this is not his typical behavior since he attended there so long with no other problems. After 3 weeks the daycare director, Deb, forged my signature in the behavioral reports (which they are required to do before dismissing a child, but obviously never did properly), then called me to tell me he was being dismissed! The director didn’t even care to consider it was the new teacher’s actions and just had a waiting list of other kids to fill his spot. When the director called me, I told her how sad he would be to leave his friends and she told me, “none of the kids wanted to play with him anyways”! That just added to the sting of things. Thankfully 3 moms reached out to play dates and 2 staff members asked to babysit for us after we left!

Thanks to my son’s new daycare, they told us that a daycare has to have behavioral reports when dismissed and asked if I had them. This is what made me realize I never saw any reports! We asked the the head of all the Capitol region YMCA daycares about this and she infomed us (after a few days of looking into it) that Deb admitted to using my signature. They then credited a month’s worth of daycare fees back to us! I honestly don’t care to do the lawyer thing and the time/energy to drag it out.

But this is what really makes me PO’ed—> with the CV19, the daycare is still charging full enrollment cost, dismissed 2/3 of their staff without pay, opened the YMCA affiliated gyms as additional childcare center and charging for those additional essential workers’ children to attend. They don’t even care to pay their laid off workers and are BANKING on this pandemic! It’s disgusting! They boast about helping the community, but are heartless!

This place is unethical and put lies and ended up hurting my 3 year old son during COVID. Please go anywhere else and don't give them any money. Eric Pitts and Erin Breslin lied at the cost of my 3 year old son. Dave Brown the CEO refused to even speak to us after several messages with out concern.

I brought my son to KidzLodge at 7 months old, and was nervous to go the daycare route sine he had only been watched by family. However, the experience with Kidzlodge has been amazing - we have loved the growth and development we have seen with our son, and are so thankful to his amazing teachers! They are all so great and we know that his development since joining Kidzlodge is related to their hard work and dedication as teachers. The team sends us daily pictures, and daily reports on all the activities they did that day (activities in the classroom, diaper updates, food updates - a full report card). The staff really care and invest their best efforts into creating a great experience for the kids, and we are so thankful!

My husband and I have been sending our three kids to KidzLodge for many years now and we have always had an excellent experience. Our kids have loved all of their teachers, and we have always felt like we are leaving them in great hands. We have truly made some wonderful friends - and wonderful memories - at KidzLodge. We feel very lucky to have found it, and I would highly recommend it to anyone!
