York Barber Shop reviews
8I was looking to change barber shops as I had moved to NOL. This shop opened up in the area and thought I would try it. Gillian was amazing. She helped me with an great cut and style. Been going ever since.
I specifically requested my hair be left long and full. Juan did just the opposite cutting it short and thin. Sideburns up high when I requested they be low. Terrible.
An UES neighborhood institution and deservedly so. Quality cuts and conversation - plus music from Sinatra and the American Songbook.
Not bad! I went for a walk in and waited for like 15 mins but everything was efficient. Would likely come back but maybe with an appointment.

Excellent old school New York barber, great quality and very reasonable pricing policy! Juan Roberto does a great job!
ENRIQUE was my barber when he first opened the shop some 30 years ago. In time, I started going to my wife's beauty parlor which recently closed. I went back to Enrique who remembered me. I remembered how much I liked going to a men's barber shop rather than a beauty salon. I love the way Enrique cuts my hair and I much prefer the culture of guys for this activity that only takes 15 minutes.
Old-timey, classic, familial environment - and run by inviting host Enrique, who will regale you of his stories running the place for the last few decades. Comfortably retro.
