This school will ALWAYS be known to me as PS304. Born and raised in Bed-Stuy, right there on Hart Street. In the mid 70, s, yes it was pretty rough in the neighborhood, gang’s, etc, lucky to get through all that drama but, I also had great experiences in and around the school with my local friends, especially in the PS304 park. Sprained ankle there several times playing ball in park but hey, all surroundings parks where built the same way. Yes, I do remember Mr. Nicolson, and other good educators there, from K to 6th grade, it was all good for the most part, memories there are enduring.
