YTF Hair Extensions, New York NY

DO NOT GO HERE! ALL MY HAIR IS GONE! I went for Brazilian knots. They were EXTREMELY OVERPRICED and they looked horrible! They “tried” to make me feel better by taking a picture of my hair knowing that IT DID NOT LOOK GOOD! The picture was never sent to me because of it! When I got them removed ALL MY HAIR CAME OUT! Now I’m stuck with no money and two inches of hair on my head. You’ve been warned!

My hairstylist was amazing! Very professional and fun! I enjoyed the results for several months and definitely gonna go back!

Wendy is amazing. Every-time I come in she is such a perfectionist with my blonde and my extensions, and I’ll be the first to admit I’m not easy to please. Today she stayed an extra hour with me to make sure it was perfect. 10/10 recommend.

I had micro links done by Wendy. Very talented and extremely professional specialist. My hair has different shades from front to back and the color of the strands was picked just right to match my hair exactly. It was my first experience with micro links and I’m very pleased with the result. Excellent work from beginning to the end. I would strongly recommend YTF.

This place is great and very conveniently located. They are very hospitable and my hair looks amazing! If your searching for extensions then you should definitely come here!

I went hair for I tip and they did such a bad job don’t recommend this place I need serious treatment after what they did with my hair I think they need to learn how to do hair

I went to get my hair installed, micro links, they over charged me 2 days later my hair extensions start coming out. I come back to them they didn’t wanna help me saying they’re fully booked and it’s not there problem I highly don’t recommend this place.

Their job is horrible. They don’t know how to properly install extensions n after 1 wash, half of my hair came off. I was furious, so I went back and they told me to reinstall them it’d be the full price. ITS INSANE. “Highly skilled proffesionals”. Don’t recommend this place at all!

First time experience at YTF and it was amazing! I got the tape-in extensions and I am never getting a traditional sew-in again. It’s so light on my head and blends so nicely with my natural hair. More importantly, the staff is extremely professional and helpful. Worth the price. Loved my experience.

Ask for Gia! She is so kind and patient! I had very short hair and Gia took several hours to apply my extensions.

What a terrible and awful place. The shop did not have any supply for my hair extension. I was informed after they put some extension on. Then I waited serval hours until they finally got what was needed for the hair extension. Never going to this place again.

Love YTF hair salon. Everyone is very professional and friendly. I love Olga, she is the best. Trust me, she knows what she is doing. I didn’t feel any discomfort and she was very efficient. Def 5 star for her. Thank you Olga.

Olga did an AMAZING job - never been here before, made an appt the day of and came early and they were AMAZING! Highly recommend it!

Got the keratin bond extensions & they looked decent for 3 weeks then got super tangled. The stylist put the extensions too close to my roots so when i went back to get my hair bleached i had black spots where the extensions where attached. Just had them removed and now there are bald spots all over my head from the removal process. Went here 3 times and will not be going back. Everyone was nice but my hair is ruined from getting these extensions. The stylist did not inform me i would get NOTICABLE bald spots after the extensions were removed. Would not recommend

Followed these guys for a few months before coming up with my mom and sister for an appointment. Both girls got hair extensions and they served us all wine and food. They were so attentive and made my mom and sister feel at home. Their new long hair came out beautiful and all for hand down the best prices for hair extensions in NYC. WILL BE BACK!

I applaud the stylists.their work is impeccable. My concern is with the lack of integrity in management. I left a $200 tip for Donna and she didn't receive it. The day before her wedding when she should have had a fist full of tip money she didn't. They kept$$$ in tip money. Pray for them.
The salon advertises Brazilian knots. I took a 3 hour ride from NJ. Guess What? They don't do Brazilian knots. The colorist and the management did all the screwing up but left Donna and the other fabulous stylist Olga to close up and clean up with me as the last customer.
The oppressed grinding down their own is reprehensible. I am looking for a way to help Donna and Olga open their own spot. God honors integrity and humility.
