Yummy Garden reviews
16Hands down, best General tso's chicken you can get. And if you ask for spicy, they give you spicy unlike most places in the city. Servers are always polite and service is very quick.
My friend from Singapore was in town so his kid could visit a college, so I suggested Yummy Garden since availability of Asian food is a consideration in the choice. They loved the hot pot here and said it was very authentic. We all had a wonderful time and enjoyed the many choices from the menu.
Delicious and fun, unique dining experience with the Hot Pot. I loved the milk Boba Tea! It's a bit expensive, but worth the indulgence now and then.
Food good didn't like the fact they were hanging over us well looking at menu didn't like that they gave appetizer and food at same time everything tastes really good
Review for A la carte and not hot pot. Food was tasty. Got the Thai curry and hot tea. Hot tea was okay, neither extraordinary nor poor. The only thing i am not satisfied is the customer service. They served me food and never came back to check on. I had to go and call them. Even after this, they added 15% gratuity as the tip is compulsory abd automatic. 15% for such a bad customer service! It wasn't even worth 1%.
So 4 starts for food but 0 for service
Really bad weird tasting. After my visit, they closed because of their failure to keep their kitchen clean.
Disgusting that they closed for mice and rat problems.
I would like to preface my review by saying that the food is and always has been SPECTACULAR. The Kimchi Pot is my favorite broth hands down, but I have never had anything here that was less than delicious.
The first issue is how the restaurant is currently priced and run. I went with my family for the first time since the pandemic and the ordering and pricing structure has completely changed. At first we were extremely pleased with the buffet items to put in the soup as opposed to the pre-made plates that used to be served.
We would normally go as a family of 3, order all the meats, rice, noodles, etc that we wanted, pay approximately $80 plus tip and we were able to take our leftovers home.
Now because of the buffet that has noodles, eggs, veggies, I was no longer able to take home my leftovers. I had a pot of just broth that I wanted to take home and was told that I had to pay $10 if I wanted to take home the broth that I PAID FOR. So instead of being able to leave with a good experience and leftovers to enjoy, I left sad, not just that I had to leave the food, but knowing it just went to waste.
We spent far more money because of price increases for even the broth and could not take home the meat and broth that we paid for. I understand not being able to take buffet items home, but my broth? !
Additionally, there is a major issue with food cross contamination on the buffet. There were at least 20 different items to select from, many containing gluten and/or seafood, but there were only 4 sets of tongs to obtain the items with. Anyone with a food intolerance would become very sick.
Normally I tip AT LEAST 20%, but I was very put off that there was a mandatory 15% gratuity added to our check. To me, that is a sign that the service has not been good or that people have been so upset that they can’t bring their leftovers home.
Needless to say, I will not be eating in the restaurant in the foreseeable future.but I may get takeout
Food was good quality but I was annoyed that people ordering off the menu and people ordering from the hot pot buffet were not allowed to sit at the same table.
I tried to order a lunch special they said they haven't have those in 15 years since they opened which is not true I ordered their many times I said that's fine can I just order mixed veg she kept telling me I was calling the wrong place I said on West Henrietta rd she said yes and I said yes I want to order and she kept fighting with me and wouldn't let me order I went to Chen Garden it was amazing
A duplicate of Yummy Garden buffet. They are the same restaurant with different dine in option. This one is likely for the Ala carte option where you order entrees individually. The all you can eat hotpot buffet if overpriced with cheap low quality food items. Small variety of food selection. Meat and soup base cost extra. Very friendly service. Spacious and quite quiet when we went.
Excellent! $20/pp all you can eat hot pot. It does not include meat or seafood; however, that can be added. The selection on the buffet was very good and everything was fresh. We will definitely go again. Very friendly staff!
Yummy garden has changed a lot post pandemic and not for the better. If you want to order to go I see no problem but dining in not great still good food, just a little worrying.
Great food! Love the hot-pot here! Only $20 for unlimited basic hot-pot. That includes vegetarian / vegan / fish and meat items. Plus all the noodles and other fun extras like the spicy sauce bar. Make your own flavor mixtures! And the staff is so friendly
The WORST restaurant ever, the service is rude and absurd. I came to Yummy Garden about 9 pm at night by myself, they only allowed me to seat at the bar while there were at least two big tables available, it make no sense to eat hot pot on a bar and there were another guy who is also by himself seated on a table, I asked them why he can seat there alone, the owner told me: “because he is a frequent customer”.
I will never come to this restaurant again and be honest, it make no sense to pay extra money to eat hot pot at a restaurant, you can buy everything from a Asian market at a much lower cost and just boil them.
Got a hot and sour soup for pick up and received the wrong item. Had to drive back which took about 15 minutes and was not refunded the $5 it cost. Just take the extra ten minutes to drive to Han Noodle. Way better food and customer service.
