Zombie Planet reviews
19First place to ask me to wear a mask in the Albany region, I'll find a different comic book store from now on.
I have a medical condition preventing me from wearing a mask and I was told I couldn't shop here without one. Been coming for years, but won't be back.
I love this place, it's perfect to take all my geeky friends when they come to Albany. I got these dice a few years ago and they're still my faves!
Zombie Planet is a two story comic book and game store located in the Capitol Region.
Board and collectible card games occupy the first floor of the two story operation with comics and graphic novels residing on the second floor. The staff is incredible nice and helpful when you are there and will help you find anything you're looking for.
The only downside to Zombie Planet is their prices for full boxes of Magic The Gathering card. Sometimes they're $30 higher than other game stores in the area and while you're there check out it painfully slow. Also very limited singles for sale.
Great staff great selection, always have cards in stock.
They still require wearing masks tho, but they do have them available at no cost if you for get yours.
Two floors of nerdiness! A rare sight in Albany!
Although it seems more Dungeons and Dragons shop then comicbook, so, if you're a DND fan, this place is for you. But since I'm comicbook fan, I was disappointed. The book selections there were barebones, older but still widely available everywhere else. Manga selection was mediocre. A few good titles but mostly bland, forgettable ones. The figure selection is good. Not alot, but good nonetheless. I think this place is in a serious need of an upgrade both Comicbook and Manga wise, too many great titles out there for this place to be so bland in it's selection.
Still, the staff was warm, friendly and welcoming.
Haven't been here in a few years and just as good as I remember it. They were helpful and answered my questions. I just wish they weren't so far away.
They had a lot of different selections for games. They had an amazing set of D&D minis, but not all the books. Still staff was very helpful & they have a loyalty rewards program
My favorite game shop in Albany. Always helpful, always a ton of selection and always the latest and greatest things to come out. With the pandemic slowly coming to an end they are (still in progress as of 6/11) expanding their gameshop to accommodate a bigger number of groups/events and I'm excited to see the results.
Zombie Planet is the absolute best in terms of quality of products and customer service. Staff is super knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly- can’t imagine a better local comic spot. Always look forward to stopping by and seeing what’s new!
Cool place to shop if you're a geek. For me, it was a stop on a needed vacation. I'll be back next time in the area
New to upstate NY and went in for my first time earlier today. Don't know if the owner/employees are just tired of scalpers and thought I was one or what, but the gentleman I talked to (asked one question about pre-orders for Pokemon's next set), basically talked down to me about allocation in a super condescending manner. Turned a potential returning customer into this bad review. Definitely won't go back.
Our family's favorite store! If you like comics, strategy board games, or table top miniatures, you'll find what you want here. Yes, it's (sometimes) more expensive than Amazon, but we're supporting a small business, and the knowledgeable staff are always willing to help us find just what we're looking for, but also let us browse if we prefer. Thanks Zombie Planet!
I went in to browse their selection instead of ordering from an online store and when I was leaving after not finding what I was looking for the owner bid me farewell with a very not friendly; "Not buying anything today? "
Since then I haven't returned and have bought exactly what I want from a great online store without ever being talked down to by anybody.
I have always liked it here. Shopped here plenty of times because they have a huge selection if everything. Will and George are always welcoming and helpful with finding and ordering things.
However, came in today trying to find Pokemon cards for my daughter and me and found that they are upcharging the prices "because if people will pay the price, we're gonna sell at that price. No point in losing out on the money, " as the guy behind the counter said. Prices ranged from $6 to $20, which is absurd. I will not be supporting a greedy business like this. This is essentially scalping. Just there to make an extra dollar. Clearly not there for the customer.
Always awesome knowledgeable staff and just all around nice place to get your gaming stuff. Pretty sizable board game selection, lots of miniatures, and card games. They even have a comic book section.
Staff was super helpful and friendly. Good selection of games and comics. Staff helped me pick out some new games and was really happy with the advice given. Cool little store if you're into board games/card games or comics.
Super great store. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Comic selection is great, and they can order anything you want that they don't have in stock. Also have a pretty great selection of board games and tabletop rpgs, as well as a sizeable section for Warhammer. They tend to have some cool older and rarer models in stock too, which is nice.
The staff here is great and product is almost always in stock for mtg. Also a great selection of dragon shield sleeves.
