I still stand by this review years later.

I ordered from them on eBay a while back and realized they was in Pinehurst so I went to their shop location and was personally treated badly, like they didn't want my business, giving I was dressed very casual since it was my day off, but one of them even made a comment to not to come into the store and that they have a website that I could order from, like NO if I want to look at the potential items I intend to purchase first hand I will!

Very rude even tho I had purchased a pure gold coin in the store.

I do not recommend giving them your business as they do indeed judge a book by it's cover.

I ended up just giving the coins I purchased from them away as I didn't want anything to do with them.

Hopefully, things have changed since I was last there but I doubt it, so I'm now leaving my personal experience here.

Please feel free to look over all my other reviews and you will see I only give bad feedback when it's earned and let me tell you the way this place made me feel it's #1 on my top worse places list!

Wow! I'm hard to please, I bought 3 gold bars from 3 different places. I found Pinehurst last, they were the cheapest, even though I found them last I got their bar first, One other company hadn't even shipped yet. I was a new customer they helped me set up my account, make my order, it was cheaper then anyone else, it was the fastest and it was exactly what I hoped for. I'm going back right now to make another order. Wow.

I've been buying from Pinehurst Coins for almost 5 years now. They have very competitive prices compared to other bullion dealers and they're shipping is lightning fast! All of my orders so far have been exactly as described and usually arrives earlier than expected.

I had a chance to stop in to purchase some silver today. I must say that this place is a very professional, honest, and clean business. It is a First Class Act. I am pretty sure they pay the most On precious metals and old coinage, for I got pretty good price for scrap silver. I strongly urge you to check this place out if you are buying or selling precious metals. I was not disappointed. I will definitely visit them again and again. Thanks a lot.

Was seeking a 1 Ounce Gold Austrian Philharmonic for a birthday gift for this upcoming Friday night and after spending all day Monday on the telephone I was finally successful with Pinehurst Coins and the new coin is on its way!
These guys are great and I will be buying form them again in the future.

Aside from some difficulty getting acknowledged at the front door and getting buzzed in, I was highly impressed after my visit this morning. The rep was very professional even suggesting I could probably do a little better price-wise selling my silver jewelry online or on consignment versus just cashing it in. I also liked the individual rooms which were private and not out in the open like other gold exchange places are. I will definitely return here when the need arises.

A bit of a drive for us from the Triangle, but worth it. Was selling gold and silver coins, and received more than what I was expecting, mainly because they knew the value of certain coins was more than just the ore value. Honest and knowledgeable, strong personal service, nice new facility.

2 Separate purchases from this company and they were outstanding. Excellent communication and very fast shipping. Highly recommend them to all. Both coins were as advertised.

Tony in customer service was great getting replacement coin for one I had received but had a small "stain" even though it was in plastic and rated MS70.

Excellent Coin Dealer! Great Packaging and protecting of coins during shipment, and the shipping is done in a very timely manner!

This company has a monopoly of coins on eBay and pays people to act as bots to go on the US mint to buy up all new releases so the average coin collector doesn’t have a chance. Then they presale everything, some at high prices others at reasonable prices. We bought several coins from them. However there was an error on one of our orders and this had to do with the grading. The employee was so rude and over-talked on the phone, we could not get a word in. They refused to correct the problem and blocked our ability to buy on eBay from them in the future just because we had a problem with one of their products.
