They installed our roof 11 years ago so when we had a leak we contacted them. The staff we interacted with were friendly, responsive and knowledgeable. We dealt with Phil, who came out to see what was needed, Anthony, on the phone from the office and David, who did the repair. Stellar on all points! Highly recommend.

Last year, my roof was repaired incorrectly due to poor weather conditions and it became damaged. When the damaged was found, a few 1st choice team members visited and observed damage. The preliminary conclusion was the damaged had occurred. After discussion with the president and project manager, they visited first hand and confirm the conclusion. A team was assigned to address the issue. The work was done very well. The crew was very professional and completed the work needed. They even fixed some damage that may have been there before. I am very pleased with their efforts. Thank you first choice for your efforts

The foreman was very professional and courteous. The crew was on time and worked together efficiently to install my new roof. They cleaned the job site and they were courteous as well. My new roof looks beautiful! I highly recommend 1st Choice Roofing for any roofing needs.

They are really professional on blocking the parking lot with roofing materials and equipment on residential parking lot and not finishing project for a couple months (most of the time they were working 07.30-noon and not showing up for a couple days or a whole week). Excellent in parking their vehicles in reserved parking spaces (wondering where residents have to park vehicles when one part is closed for storage and roof access and another used by they personal vehicles), they are perfect for littering the property and not paying attention where they throwing nails and old roof pieces, they even didn't stop throwing stuff from the roof when 70 years old women was walking in that area, and guess what happen? ! No one of them didn’t even notice this. And this happen not only with her. Thanks it was small and not heavy pieces. Also they left a lot of trash after themselves (not only old roof pieces, some of them littering property with plastic water bottles, straight from the roof).
To be fair, not all of them are like this, some of them are very friendly and polite, one rooffer even helped to carry some bags for the same lady that was under falling pieces of the roof a couple days early.
Negative review not for a roofing team, but for the management, I guess they are trying to finish to many project at the same time and this makes a lot of inconvenience for a long period of time to residents.
Your first choice is not always the best choice.

Used them to have an old, leaky skylight replaced. The new one started leaking and I called for them to fix it. It took over two months for them to come back and caulk a joint that they failed to do in the first place.

I have used First choice roofing for a number of years I find them to be a first class business they did a phenomenal job fixing my roof after a tree fell on it they put on shingles matching my existing ones perfectly and put all new skylights in they just put a new metal roof on my solarium which had a really bad pitch now it will never leak again they’re dependable and always leave the work site clean and my flowers and shrubs undisturbed I would definitely recommend them I give them an A+

It’s always a go to gutter Repair Company whom you can trust by. By far the most renowned in Philadelphia.

1st Choice Roofing installed 2 Velux skylights, one of each side of the vaulted ceiling in our kitchen. The installation team was professional and courteous. They carefully draped the kitchen cabinets and the work area to minimize debris while they worked. The ceiling plaster around the new openings was blended beautifully into the existing ceiling. We had a small problem with the metal finish on one of the skylight frames. Tori, our customer service rep, arranged to have the piece replaced and even had the local Velux factory rep come out with the installers from 1st Choice to make sure everything was shipshape. We will definitely use this company again and recommend them!

Justin Williams went above and beyond in order to help us. He met with the adjuster when I couldn't. Extremely satisfied with him and 1st choice roofing!

I was impressed from with their professionalism and commitment to proper communication. My personal experience is that a break down of communication is the most likely culprit when projects go sideways. These guys are serious and obviously realize that communication is the cornerstone of service done right.

I had part of the roof on my rental property torn off and replaced by 1st Choice a few years back. They were the worst! On 3 different occasions they said they would be starting the job the next day, but no one would show up. I would have to call midday, only to find out they weren't coming. They left unused materials all over the property after they claimed to been done with the job. There were pieces of new shingle hanging from the gutters. Two of my tenant and a neighbor ended up with nails in their tires. I got so feed up with asking them to clean the stuff up that I finally just gave up. Their prices sounds good, but you get what you pay for! I would never recommend this company.

I chose to use 1st Choice to service to service my slate roof. They came out and gave me an estimate and got the work completed in a couple weeks. The workers repaired everything I needed and provided a detailed description of the work along with photos of everything they worked on. The cleaned up all the debris after they were done. From being able to text to set up my appointment to receiving the estimate, invoice and payment link electronically, they made the whole process very simple.

First off, I'm an architect and deal with contractors all day, every day. I got 3 quotes to have 3 skylights installed in a home addition I designed & am building and chose 1st Choice Roofing / Lifetime Skylight Co. They weren't the lowest bid, but being in the industry I know you get what you pay for so my decision was based on a lot more than just price. I also took comfort in the warranty that was included. The install went extremely smoothly and Dennis & Timmy seemed as excited as my project as I am. They kept me informed with photos & texts as they progressed with their work and even sent me a question about a location on the last skylight even though I located it and marked it myself before they began work. This indicated to me that they were "thinking" about my project too and not just doing their work.which is RARE to experience these days. They even thanked me for some prep work that I did before they arrived for their safety. I've already given out 2 referrals and I'm sure there will be more. I couldn't be happier and if I could give them 10 stars, I would. Awesome experience.

The installer arrived on time. Removed old skylights and installed the new one's quickly. They showed me how to operate the new skylights with the remote controls. They cleaned everything up which is nice. Amsowe company and installers.

The whole experience, from the in-person inspection to the work requested was done professionally. I did not have a full roof replacement, just minor repair work and a other things I could not take care of due to the extreme pitch of my roof, but I would not expect anything to change.

I had a guy come out and see first hand what I wanted done. He was upfront about how the process works and told me what to expect. He finished up the work order a few days later and I was able to review the order and submit my approval.

Work took about 3 weeks to begin, which was expected, and was completed well from what I can see. I have no reason to believe any shortcuts were taken either.

Pricing wise, I was unable to compare quotes with other highly rated competitors due to them just not returning calls (unsure why), so I ran some numbers and will say this - I believe the pricing is fair. Not going to be the least expensive place, but they won't gouging you. Again, a fair price.

For as something as important as the roof, if I need anything else I wouldn't hesitate to call them up again.

I recently hired 1st Choice Roofing to replace an entire roof. I find them to be an excellent company (and I say this as someone who is pretty critical by nature). The front person that I worked with, Charles, was extremely responsive and helpful. He was always professional and straight, giving me useful information and honest advice. There was no trace of shadowy salesmanship about him: no pushy tactics, no attempt at subliminal influence, no suspicious enticement. And he has a charming accent! It was a true pleasure working with him.

On the production side, Todd and Brandon were also excellent. Todd managed the schedule and Brandon supervised the actual work. They were both courteous, responsive, and helpful throughout. Brandon also personally fixed a minor problem left by the crew (replacing a board covering the attic entrance that was accidentally damaged by the crew) and paid a follow-up visit after the roof work had been completed. It was overall a pleasant and reassuring experience.

I am not really competent to judge the quality of the roof work. Time will tell. But with excellent warranties (50 years for the shingles and 25 years for the workmanship), I have peace of mind.

I picked 1st Choice Roofing after doing a lot of homework and interacting with four or five other roofing companies. Based on the comparison and the actual work process, I think they are a very professional company run by competent and trustworthy people. Their price was also very fair (low but not suspiciously low). I would recommend the company to anyone considering roof work.
