614 Knit Studio reviews
8Always enjoy a visit, wish I could get here more often. Great selection of yarn as well as lots of other bags, notions and unique knitting items. Love the different makers she brings in, the selection is always different and exciting. Andrea is such a sweet person, always have a nice chat when I'm in as well. Highly recommended!
I’ve been wanting to visit for a while and it was so worth the hour drive! Andrea is so kind and she has a wonderful selection of yarn and goodies. It is so clean and bright with lots of lovely samples to explore. Everyone was so friendly and 614 Knit is a gem among local yarn stores! I will absolutely be back! Thank you again Andrea!
Charming yarn and notion studio, with yarns new to me. Andrea is friendly and welcoming! Easy parking. Glad I stopped in.
Wife loves buying hanks of yarn here. They even have a bored husband's section with sitting area.
614 Knit is an amazing place for boutique yarn and incredible people and help. Great classes, great vibe, open stitch, amazing selection. The newsletter is also 100% worth it so sign up. Each week I get inspired to look up new projects and what the skill can be if I keep working at the fiber arts. One of my favorite stores and the owner is fabulous. It's also super convenient on Indianola.
A beautiful little shop! Lots of amazing yarns in tons of weights, lots of chiaogoo needles to buy, and a super friendly owner! We chatted about the local yarns and she seemed super knowledgeable! I didn't buy any yarn (too much in my stash, oops) but I did buy some needles and it was easy and quick. I got to squish a lot of yarn?
Luckily, I was fortunate enough to be able to attend the tapestry weaving class for beginners on Saturday as a last minute registration. Donita is an excellent, upbeat instructor whose guidance is thorough, yet relaxed and very easy to follow. The whole experience was surprisingly therapeutic.
The staff and other customers are diligent about COVID-19 prevention. There is hand sanitizer available for use, as well as access to a sink for hand washing with soap and warm water. Throughout the duration of the 3 hour class, everyone wore a mask and we were offered the opportunity to step outside through the back of the studio to take a break from the mask if we needed. No one did, but I appreciate courtesies that make it easier for everyone to comply with public health initiatives.
Overall, the studio is a safe and comfortable space to spend a few hours learning a new skill with wonderful company. I am looking forward to the May class schedule!
Very nice yarn shop! This is not the place to go if you're searching for acrylic, however, if you are interested in artisan/hand-painted fibers, 614 Knit Studio has got you covered! I haven't seen a selection as unique as theirs and will definitely be back. They also offer a wide variety of classes!
