9th Street Diy reviews
11The park is great itself except for some of the older guys who feel like they own it because "the donated and volunteered" clearly not understanding the meaning of those words, so they tend to bully and pick on the younger crowd
Nice park for what it is, but use some yellow paint off the top deck by the gate.
Can be kind of misleading having a transition straight across from it.
This skate park is where the literal love of my life taught me how to skate and it’s been such a great escape from everything and helped overcome some anxiety, and there’s always the nicest most helpful people there! I go atleast 3 days a week, and I highly recommend this place for anyone new to skating or hardcore into it!
My son loves this place. It's a nice place for the neighborhood kids to go and have fun outdoors. Also a good source of physical activity.
When I hear “DIY” I expected a parking lot with random ramps and rails. When I pulled up what I saw was an amazing, concrete, skater run and funded skatepark. Dale and his wife Melanie are amazing people who just want to give the skaters a safe place to shred and that’s evident. If you can donate, donate. If you know concrete finishers who can help them keep going, make the intro. What these people are doing for the community is unmatched.
It has came a long way from just a half pipe and two guard rails proud of canton for that one
This is definitely made for skaters the people that skate here are really cool but would be nice if they got the poles up to skate in the dark as well as the restrooms.
This is one of the sickest DIYs in existence. If you are near Akron don't think twice. Go here. Shred the gnar.
Beautiful place, run by awesome people. Best skatepark in Northeast Ohio for sure.
Beginner friendly obstacles as well as others for more experienced skaters
Love the idea of this place. Big space with lots of fun things to hit. Everything is built well and it does not feel like amateur work. It's gonna be fun watching this park evolve.
