After expressing interest in some used refrigerators I had, I emailed them the requested info. A couple weeks went by and I didn't hear back, so I called and was told to email them over again. I did so. After a couple weeks of not hearing back again, I called and was told they weren't interested and "had meant to get back to me". Takes literally 7 seconds to reply back to someone's email saying thank you but no interested. Very unprofessional.

Julie and the rest of her team are hands down the best to work with. My go to place for all my restaurant equipment needs. Keep up the great service.

I have had a great consistent experience with A1. We purchased our Walk-In with them, had them remove our old unit, and purchased an Open Air refrigerated unit. All came on time, in good condition, and the process was quick and easy.

I scheduled them to come look at my cooler doors on a Friday. They never showed up, after telling me “they’d be out in my area that day. ” When I questioned why they didn’t show up, the lady on the phone said that it was scheduled for Wednesday (I don’t schedule things on Wednesday because of deliveries to my store). Then she backpedalled and said “my notes say I was going to have my driver look at on Friday, but he didn’t have a chance. ” So which is it? Wednesday or Friday? Then when I asked to please schedule it for sometime next week, she told me to “take my business elsewhere. ” Ok. I’ll gladly throw $8k for a cooler remodel in someone else’s direction.

They came highly recommended, but I whole heartedly disagree.

Very helpful customer service. They sell new and used restaurant and catering equipment. Items could be displayed in a more orderly manner. A whole lot to see. However I enjoyed going through there.

Regarding the recent post by jayd1414 from Lakewood-: Caution: This guy is a known scammer who came to my store attempting the same con. What he does is approaches the clerks in an upset manner and talks rapidly complaining about his supposed "purchase. " He'll claim he "lost" the receipt all the while insisting you replace the part he's needing while refusing to even show the clerk item in question. Classic scam taking advantage of business owner's propensity towards being polite. Apparently didn't work with A1-I've dealt with these guys-pros all the way.

I purchased a couple of used bakery cases and an electric oven from A1 and they did a fantastic job with delivery and service. Julie and Nikki were very attentive to my needs and asked a lot of questions to make sure that I was ordering the correct equipment. Also purchased small wares which were at very competitive prices. They made it easy to do business with A1.

I have dealt with A1 a few months back. They assisted with the remodel of our entire kitchen. Everything was as described. Highly recommended.

I normally don't complain about companies in public, but after an very unpleasant experience at A1 Restaurant Equipment Co, I feel the need to warn other potential buyers of this place. I bought a mop sink faucet from them, brand new. When the plumber went to install the product, the valve on the cold water side was cracked. I couldn't find the receipt, but the product was in a box that was clearly from A1. I also purchased the product on our company credit card. When I went to A1 to EXCHANGE the broken part, I was told - No Receipt, No Exchange! The service woman would not even compromise.

Needing a faucet for our start-up business (which is in the restaurant industry), I went over to Dubick's, which is right around the corner from A1. Not only did Dubick's have a brand name faucet (Krowne) on hand, they offered me a discount based on my experience with their competitor. The quality product from Dubick's was less than the cost of the junky product from A1. My plumber even mentioned how the Dubick's fixture was much better quality.

Based on the cost of both faucets, and the labor I had to pay my plumber to install the first poor quality A1 faucet, I'm out $300. Dubick's beat A1 on price, service and product quality. I should have gone to Dubick's in the first place, and so should you.

I bought some Loizer shelving from A-1 for my store. I found these guys to have the best prices in the Cleveland area. I had to pay a little extra for delivery but it was well worth it and still saved a lot of money. You can also just pick it up at their warehouse if you want as well if you have a big enough truck. (which I did not). Nice people to deal with!
