Adolph Optical, Akron OH

This was my first experience at Adolph Optical and it was great. All the staff was super helpful and polite, and the Doctor Melissa Ford was very genuine and willing to listen to all of your concerns and come up with a solution that best fits your needs. She seems like she truly cares about your comfort and your eye health! Overall, it was a breath of fresh air to be treated so nicely. Besides the great service, they were able hopefully help me treat my eye issue and set me up with some new contacts and glasses! So far, I highly recommend!

I broke the arm of my glasses off and NO one would even attempt to try to fix them wherever i went then I found this place on Google and I'm very glad I did. I brought my glasses in and in 15 min they were all fixed and straightened and ready to go. Tom and the staff are extremely nice and I would highly recommend this place if you need anything fixed on your eyeware. I am definitely going to start coming here for my exams and frames/contacts!

This dr was able to not only fix my glasses, but right away…and the price was so incredibly cheap! He is so nice and professional and he truly cares about helping people! I would recommend him over and over again! Thank you!

My sons glasses broke and the place we normally go to said new ones won't be ready for 3 weeks. In desperation I called adolph optical asking if they could help fix them or put the lenses in new frames. Tom told me to come on in and he fixed them with ease. He even took my glasses and replaced the nose pads. This is a great place and I definitely plan on bringing my whole family here in the future. Thank you so much! Now my son can see clearly on his birthday.

The people working here are simply wonderful, I could not ask for better service. I came in today to get my glasses repaired. The frame was bent and I needed a temple replacement. They made several adjustments until my glasses fit perfectly. If I ever need a repair or replacement I'm definitely coming back. They are so kind, I highly recommend coming here.

Once again, it was time for new glasses. Appearently, I cannot pick attractive frames for my own face, nearly as quickly and easily as Tom. Happy to report he gave me the right choices and after getting them completed yesterday, they seem wonderful. Thanks again.

So, my America's Best frames failed (broken screw) and the repair was outside their jurisdiction. They referred me to the amazingly awesome Adolph Optical. I called, the young lady said, "Sure! Come see us! " and I did. Not only did they get me right in, the top man, Tom Barracato, took care of it himself. I got a wonderful story and a top-notch repair. Sent me on my way, disaster averted. When it's time for me to get new specs, I'm going to Adolph Optical. The consideration shown me will last. Go see them. P. S. The decor is worth the trip alone. Thank you Dr. Barracato!

Tom saved the day! He fixed my glasses after a tragic sitting-on-them incident the day before I left for a weeklong trip. It only took about 10 minutes. Truly magical eyeglass repair skills!

I have been going to a larger optical place in the akron tallmadge area. Inhave gotten the same frames for the last 5 years. They are oakley air drops. When going to the larger place after insurance for the frames I was still like 300 out of pocket. I come here and it's like 30 out of pocket. This place is awesome. Everyone that works here is absolutely amazing. If your in the market give these guys a try.

My husband glasses were broken at the arm, went back where the glasses were bought. They wanted to sale him a whole new pair of glasses! First time going into Adolph, he repaired the glasses by putting a new arm on the frame, 15 mins.we were out! Thank you for the great customer service!

These guys are awesome! I broke my glasses and was scared I was going to have to buy a new pair. I went in on a Saturday and these guys were so knowledgeable and friendly. They explained how the frames were made and what needed to be done to repair them. They fixed them on-site while I waited! No sending them out to a repair company and waiting a week or two for them to come back. Thank you. This is a great company that I would recommend to anyone.

This is the best optical repair in the entire state I had a pair of Cartier glass that I sat on and broke no place would even touch them I took them here and they were fixed 15 mins later very very professional and friendly they also have a grate selection of eye wear highly recommended

Wonderful experience getting glasses for my toddler. They were great and have lots of options for tiny faces! Highly recommend to anyone needing glasses.

I went in to have soldering work done on a pair of frames. Tom and staff were very friendly and efficient. The work was done well and I didn't have to wait long. Adolph Optical also carries a big selection of fashionable and wearable frames. Convenient location with plenty of parking.

Adolph Optical is hands down the best Eye Doctors office I've ever been to. Tom, Dr Ford and the rest of the team are incredibly knowledgeable in their craft and always take the time to make sure you are taken care of and have what you need. They truly treat you like family! Not to mention, I get compliments on every pair of Adolph Optical glasses I wear.

I do whatever I can to support local businesses and have been a customer at Adolph for many years. The owners are amazing but after cancelling 2 appointments because of last minute work conflicts.and they only do exams 2 days a week, they refused to reschedule me. It is ALSO worth noting that the first cancellation was more than 24 hours in advance.not 1/2 hour. OK- Get I it, your schedule is important too. The biggest reason for my poor review is now, fast forward a couple weeks and I just returned from an eye exam at Davis. I realize how poor and unthorough my 25 minute exams have been in recent years from Dr. Ford. Davis uncovered a number of undiagnosed issues I've been struggling with for years related to questions Dr. Ford never asked. Its with heavy heart I say I'll not return to the charming little (and now seemingly outdated) Adolph Optical.
