ADT is nothing but a myth. They are a company that's playing on the insecurity of people feeling secure. The only myth bigger than ADT is those that claim to have seen Big Foot. They sell you outdated faulty equipment and then try to get you to purchase the newer equipment so by then you will have paid twice. When you call the main 800 number its usually someone's home who's pulling up your info on their home computer to help you and after an hour of trouble shooting they tell you that they are gonna have to send 1 of their highly trained $150 service call technicians. The technician shows up looking like he just left the bar on a happy lunch. There are so many do it yourself alarm companies (Ring, SimpliSafe, Wyze) out there now where you can install your own sensors without the prehistoric hardwiring and drilling that ADT tries to sell you. Their monitoring system is mediocre at best. I cant believe I waisted 5 years on ADT. I would have been better off getting a chihuahua and training him to be my guard dog and save the $55 a month billing and gotten better service.
