Best massage in Columbus. I've been to several popular massage places and this is the best by far. She specializes the massage to what you need and I highly recommend.

Very disappointing experience. My appointment was canceled and booked over after a near month long wait.

I suffer with TMJ issues and just generally tight facial muscles. Before finding Akossage online, I had done extensive research to find relief for my near constant tension. Excited to see she offered Japanese Facial Massage, I set up an appointment. Due to my busy schedule, we agreed on an appointment 3 weeks out.

The day of my appointment arrives (today) and I show up on time, right at opening. Strange to find no one has arrived and the closed sign is still on the door. The owner arrives a few minutes later with her bags surprised to see me.

She’s clearly confused and informs me she didn’t have me on the books and actually has a regular showing up soon…

To her credit, she offers me another time and also suggests a discount (but doesn’t disclose how much). I can tell she clearly feels bad, but it’s clear the regular’s appointment is not the one being rebooked — it’s mine. I am so disappointed in being turned away after a near month long wait that I leave without re-booking.

Sharing this review not to express anger with her or deny her services are worthwhile (I of course wouldn’t know), but to warn any prospective new clients that unless you follow up with her and are diligent in ensuring she’s actually gotten you on the books, you may end up just as disappointed as I left her office earlier today.

I will not be booking again, and I certainly hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else in the future.

I absolutely love Ako's massage I already had two visits with a full body massage and face massage. I am very impressed by Ako's unique technique of massage! It's gentle and relaxing but so effective at the same time you can feel your deepest muscles and tissues being worked on during the session. My work is at the computer all day, and it's very important for me to rejuvenate sometimes and feel recharged. The atmosphere at the spa is cozy, beautiful, welcoming, and very relaxing! The feelings after the facial massage are amazing! It's hard to describe, you just need to try it at least one time
My husband and I drive more than one hour one way to see Ako every month, and we always leave her place happy and rejuvenated!

I will start by saying.this was my very first massage!
My wife and I scheduled a couples massage approximately a month ago with Ako and were able to experience it over the past weekend. Once our initial on-line consultation / booking was complete, we were both excited for the day to arrive that we could just relax and enjoy our massage. We drove approximately 90 minutes from our home to meet with Ako at her studio. I'll let my wife detail her experience / review separately.
For me, I will say this experience was life changing! I have never felt anything quite like this - EVER! Let me just say, we made follow-up appointments immediately after our first visit!
Some history from me - I travel alot and spend alot of time in airports, on planes, and in hotel rooms. Not to mention, I had an industrial accident a few years back that really did a number on my body. With all that said. Ako "evaluated" me and said immediately she wanted to work on my range of motion.
As we were leaving here studio, I told my wife that I have never felt so much tension release from my legs and hips. My tired body was awakened within an hour of Ako's procedure. We are so grateful to have chose her as our massage therapist. We both have such positive feelings and feel wonderful results after only (1) visit!
