Dentist is rude and couldn’t even give my kid a bag or sticker to get excited about due to being worried about whatever else she got going on when no one evens in there! Will never be back!

My kids have been going here for years. Just recently though things have been not right. When u call 90% of time u get a vm and they dont call you back if you leave one. Then i took my kids in for an yearly exam. They literally brushed their teeth with a tooth brush for the cleaning. Then told them they were done. Now im womdering if i need to take them somewhere else for a real annual exam. You can believe they did xrays and charged for everything tho.

If I could leave an option for no stars I would. My special needs children and I were pretty much patronized and criticized because my boys have cavities, 2 special needs boys. I will quote what I was told to do " if your mom has to hold you down against your will then she should " now don't get Me wrong my boys do brush their teeth, everyday? No! But with 2 developmentally delayed boys it's a work In progress dealing with hygiene and it's slowly getting their. Also too if I didnt care as their mother don't cha think they wouldn't of been their in the first place they need to learn their place and also worry about doing their jobs they are getting paid to do, my boys and I don't need the judgement of small minded people who also failed to read their paperwork stating that they are in fact special needs. I guess too with my 5 foot a** I'll hold down my 5'7 son, sure I'll get right on that, and also charges of abuse that they pushed down our throats! Never going back, appts elsewhere to have their cavities filled!

This place is the worst! They took 3 hours for my son surgery and he still didn't receive the surgery because they said it would be another hour.this has happened to us 3 times it's such an inconvenience and unprofessional! I will never return!

First 2 appointment goes ok. They left voicemail on my cell about canceling my appointment due to understaffing in office and asked me call back. I call them back ASAP, no answer. And I leave voicemail couple of time, call more then 5 times no response, this is so frustrating. I don't know about other parent but doctor never communicate with me, what's going on with my child.

Wait line was terrible. Took forever! Had my kids next 6 mths appt booked after the cleaning and they moved it 3 months out without even calling! Find a new dentist

I am horrified by what they did to my little 8 year old cousin. Instead of using white they filled her teeth with shiny silver plating. This ruins a child’s self esteem and confidence!

My son had the best experience here a couple months ago. I HIGHLY recommend Akron Smiles if your kiddo is nervous or has had a previous bad experience at another office like my son did. Every single person at this office was wonderful, I was so happy with them I promptly brought my other son the following week. We will not ever be going anywhere else. Massive thanks to Margi the RN (especially), Maria & Ebony, and Dr. Wood. My boys REALLY like Dr. Wood, he was so good with them. I wish I had written down everyone’s names bc every single person was kind, caring, calm, sincere, and took their time. You all treated my son as if he were your own and I can’t seem to find the words to adequately express my gratitude. Keep up the good work, you’re all amazing at your jobs! Thank you for being there for us

The staff at this facility were great! We had our second visit today and they did an amazing job! I would definitely recommend this place to others!

The dentists and hygienists are always very kind to my kids. We are usually in and out quickly after an efficient appointment.

Enjoyed our visit the workers was nice and polite,,, And I got the job done don't matter how old your child is they know what they doing

Dr wood is seriously the best. My daughter gets anxiety around going to the dentist and he’s one of the most down to earth people and very personable.

Wasn’t the happiest with this place. Sat in a room with numerous people waiting to be looked at. The room has 6 beds and no divider’s between them at all. Feels more like a beauty salon with the way it’s set up. Sat there for an hour just for them to brush my sons teeth and look in his mouth for maybe 30 seconds. Dr didn’t even change his gloves after he looked in another child’s mouth to look in my sons mouth.

My appointment was at 1 and my children weren’t seen until 2. That was not acceptable to me. I do like how they saw all of my children at one time. I think that was terrific! If you have papers to fill out fill them out right away and turn them in to the receptionist.

If you do not value your time, then this is the place for you. Unprofessional, unsanitary and altogether unorganized.

First visit seemed great. My child needed some dental work. Scheduled 2 weeks out.

Akron Smiles called me 24hrs in advance of my sons appointment to ask if I could arrive earlier for this appointment @1030 as they had quite a few cancellations and/or reschedules. Fair enough. We live 2 hours away from the office. Made it to the office at 9: 30 AM. Left the office at 10: 50 AM with a frustrated, hungry and thirsty child who had not been seen. Not only were staff unfriendly but they treated all the children there like they were invisible. Absolute waste of time, energy and effort.

Don't delay your kids with these people. Read the 1 star reviews. Their experience is verbatim how our first visit was.

I have been taking my son to this dentist for a couple of years now, and Akron Smiles is the only dentist he has been to. My son has sensory issues and doesn't like others touching him that he isn't familiar with. The staff is always so professional and patient with him and me. They go out of their way to make him comfortable and his visit a good one. This is a huge deal for my son, and I give Akron Smiles the credit!
