Akron Zoo reviews
21You can't beat the Annual Family Pass! A great place for kids. We recommend going early afternoon before the animals start going in for dinner lol. Make sure you visit the Lemurs. Parkour!
Very nice, clean. Size is great for young children too, not too big or overwhelming. Lots of places to sit and rest or stop with children to have a snack or drink. Also, allowed to bring your own snacks and drinks! Can't wait to visit again!
It's something to do while you are in the city. It only took about 2 hours or so to get through the park. The red panda and the wolf were not there even though when I called they said all exhibits were open that day. I think it's ridiculous that they charge for parking. And every time you buy a drink or something they ask you if you want to round it up.
The New Wild Asia exhibit is awesome! My kids love the otter slide, bears, lions, and wolves too. Great zoo, and just the right size to go for a few hours!
I would like to publicly thank a worker I believe her name was Amara, a nice red head young lady for helping when my 2 yr old got sick in the food court. She was quick and very considerate. I appreciate it (especially when it’s 90 degrees) thank you!
A nice little zoo with a lot of cool little exhibits. Make sure to check out the bald eagles and snow leopards! The zoo lights were pretty neat as well!
This is an amazing place for parents with young children. The penguins are very friendly and love people! The zoo is not very large but they have amazing interactive exhibits.
Perfect zoo to take a toddler. There is just enough to see and it doesn't take all day to walk through. The Christmas light display is also worth checking out!
We had such a great time. Ice skating for the kids. Making s'mores over the open fire pit. Watching the man ice sculpture. Not to mention all the beautiful lights and Christmas music playing while you visit the animal exhibits
Is this the place for penguins and panthers? Lions and tigers and bears? Oh yes! And millions of beautiful lights too! What a colorful display guiding you throughout the zoo. Take an evening walk with someone close to you and find that perfect photo opp. $3 Parking. $15 Tickets (non-member)
Delightful family outing. All manner of exotic animals housed in the most humane and progressive settings the modern zoo industry has to offer. Decent on-premises cafe, although skip the black bean hamburger unless you want to have your lunch last about 24 hours. Great way to spend an afternoon and learn something in the process.
We had a great time. All the animals were out of their shelter because it was a nice cool day. This zoo is perfect for the younger kids and their parents. It's a relaxing atmosphere. We are thinking about getting a membership.
We chose to go to the Akron zoo because of their autism features. It made taking our son's to the zoo much easier, and they were able to have a great time!
So much has changed over the last decade for the better. I love taking my kids here now. We buy a yearly pass every year
It's a nice city zoo. They had several areas under construction. The staff was helpful and friendly.
So kid friendly. There was so much for our two year old to engage in. Thank you Akron zoo for a wonderful experience.
We did Boo at the Zoo for the first time. Very nice event. Got to see all the animals and the zoo was decorated quite nicely for halloween with kids in mind. If you ha e never done the event, do it. Well worth it.
No monkeys? Besides that we had a good time. Small but perfect for families with little ones that just cant hang for the all day zoo trip.
Great zoo to go to with the little ones. Theres maybe 2-3 hours of content here so you aren't spending the entire day. You get a much more intimate view of the animals and fish than most zoos.
Was a little disappointed this time around. There were exhibits that were inaccessible and therefore couldn't see the animals. Some of the animal exhibits smelled so bad that we couldn't even look at the animal. Also if there were more signs directing to the animals that would be helpful. Some exhibits are so small for the type of animal that is is actually sad to see them.the aquarium also seemed to have gotten smaller.however the otter exhibit was beyond AMAZING!
