Italian Restaurant Alessandro's reviews
16Great authentic Italian restaurant run by family who really care that you have an enjoyable dining experience. Highly recommend.
The food is consistently delicious. The staff is friendly and the chef is amazing. This is my favorite restaurant. I would highly recommend it, dine-in or take-out. Your tastebuds will thank you:)
Absolutely delicious and incredible service! When there you feel like your in Italy! Friendly like family!
Thank you Alessandro and family!
We always have a nice time and a very good meal when we come here. Alessandro and his family, as well as the wait staff are very nice people.
Meal was not as advertised meat lasagna only had some kind of processed meat on top really nasty. Ended up getting sick from it. They didn't even consider it was bad just said everyone has different taste. I don't recommend this place.
We ordered spaghetti w meatballs. The sauce was chopped tomatoes w No taste! We loaded up the spaghetti w cheese, but it didn't help. The waiter also shorted me a dollar in change.
When you walk into this quaint restaurant looks are deceiving. You walk into smells that take your breath away. If you close your eyes for a moment you have traveled to Italy! The fresh smells of herbs & garlic hit the senses, and the chatter of people at the tables laughing and talking fill the ears. Let's talk about the food- each bite is better then the last. Your taste buds are on a tour. We had a few of the chef specials; starting with the muscles. They are always fantastic. The halibut was so tender it was like eating a fluffy cloud. The marsala sause was lighty added, though not to compete with the delicate fish. On to the scallops the caramelized marsala was fantastic. We finished with a pistachio ice cream dessert, imported from Italy, that was so delightful that I considered a second slice. I truly have to bow to Alessandro for creating such an astounding resterant and intimate experience.
Absolutely delicious authentic Italian food! We really loved the family oriented atmosphere! In all the years I have been going to Geneva on the lake I have never stopped there! I'm so glad I did this time! We will be back!
Went out for dinner here because I was told it was a good place to eat. Our waitress was great! The food was tasty but a bit on the pricey side considering how small the portions were. My main complaint was how the owner/cook treated his employee. The chair I sat in had a piece of metal poking through the cushion which ripped my shorts and tore my leather wallet. When I brought it to the waitresses attention, she immediately apologized and asked what she could do? I simply asked if they could do a free desert or a small discount on the meal. As I watched her talk to the owner/cook, he was being loud and very rude to her about the matter and made a comment " what am I supposed to do about it"? He was loud enough that we could hear him across the restaurant. She came through and took care of us and left her a nice tip for doing so. As we left and pulled around the building, my chair along with half dozen others were piled up near the back door with the same tear in the cushion as mine had. Zero reason to treat your people disrespectful over old, worn out chairs that should have been replaced.
This place is one of the best Italian restaurants we have eaten at in a long time. Food was delicious! The sauce was amazing and we bought 4 jars to take home. Next time we get back to this area we will be back!
The wife and I were spending the memorial day weekend and week after in the Geneva on The Lake/ Ashtabula area this year.
We saw Alessandro's while we were headed to the cabin we rented for the week and decided we should try them out. BOY! Ami glad we decided to we went there twice during the weekand both times our meals were excellent and the service was impeccable. Weare returning next year and are looking forward to your excellent restaurant.
Everything we ordered was perfect and so so so good! It tasted awesome. Very clean, very friendly staff, and very fair prices. Definitely come out and give this yummy place a try!
Maybe I visited on an off day, but I was disappointed with my order. The best part of my meal was the salad. The garlic bread was cold and hard as a rock. My lasagna was tiny, the cheese was non-existent, and the pasta was not fully cooked. Never again thank you.
Fantastic! Alessandro and his family run a wonderful restaurant. Classic Italian dishes.there I no wrong choice. Penne Siciliano has always been my go-to. Beautifully located along Lake Erie, Alessandro's is a gem worth visiting.
Smaller Restaurant, But What I believe to be one of the top three cuisine choices in the great lakes area especially for those who appreciate Italian food. It's kind of a hidden Gem.
Food lacked presentation and flavor. Just regular tossed salad with choice of dressing, regular bread with butter. Had Gnocchi with Gorgonzola sauce and added chicken. Could hardly find chicken in it. Sauce was watery and blend in taste. Tiramisu also lacked flavor. My husband had Delmonico steak. Steak was super thin. Service was great. Would not go back.
