Alpha Ramen reviews
16 Authentic high quality ramen for a good price
This is a good ramen spot that is very satisfying and hasn’t been around for very long
Had some very tasty black garlic ramen, full of all the extras you hope for in ramen. Pork belly was salted and cooked to perfection. Even better, we're getting onigiri to go and enjoy another day.
UberEatsDriver: I wish I received more orders from here. Most pick ups I've done here were very quick and professional. I love the decor. Your customers tend to not tip, though, so, I decline most deliveries.
Ramen a little too salty, portion size is mediocre. Price a little high for the food quality, atmosphere and service. Boba tea was good. Overall mediocre. Lots of better options elsewhere.
So I went there for dinner. The space is clean and I love the anime art and the kpop music in the background. It's pretty cute. The staff was polite.
The food however was a dissapointment. I ordered the black garlic oil ramen and while it was good, it just didn't wow me. It wasn't rich and doesn't have the flavor complexicity I was expecting when I've traveled and eaten some great ramen and have tried instant premium brands from japan that had much more depth of flavor.
For the price they charge, I was hoping they would actually make the ramen fresh in house. Instead, like everybody else, they're taking those same pre packaged noodles that you get off amazon and throwing them in the microwave, so I just fail to see how they really distinguish themselves. I did like the toppings, but again did not wow me in terms of flavor. I'm guessing I need to adjust my expectations as to what I can get here in cleveland because the ramen scene is just not it.
They also don't have a phone number or website, but it all makes sense when you see it's only three of them and they wouldn't be able to handle walk ins, phone calls and doordash orders. Only one of them spoke and understood good enough english to take orders.
This place isn't exactly close for me, so I probably won't be back any time soon if ever. Hopefully they step it up.
Bubble tea was great, typical boba, no surprises. Ramen was rich in flavor, small portion though. I would come back for the ramen and boba for sure! They have combos as well which I have never seen in a ramen spot. We got Combo C which includes ramen, an appetizer and a boba for 22 bucks! The wall art gives the place a very hip vibe. Very clean indoors, I would recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.
I honestly want to love this place. Food is fresh but I can't take it seriously if they use disposable plastic spoons and bowls
The best ramen I’m I Have ever had. The interior is very unique and engaging. Customer service was top tier.
Kind of bland but good in its own right. Others reviewers are correct that they are very cheap meat added to broth (1 very thin slice)
A great addition to the nascent Ramen scene in Cleveland.
Excellent quality broth (I did the black garlic oil ramen) fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked just chewy enough noodles. The Takoyaki is served with big bonito flakes and are delectable.
Really cool environment, definitely reminiscent of a noodle shop in Japan. The drawings are fun, as are the anime-like tables and chairs, that are accented in black to match the drawings on the walls.
I wish them success and I will definitely be back.
Mid. Everything was mid. But if you've been stuck in Cleveland your whole life, it'll probably be good
Strong artificial flavor in the Tonkatsu was slightly off-putting.
Wow, my new favorite Restaurant in Cleveland. While the ramen is awesome, the other appetizers including the shrimp tempura and takoyaki are superb. Please keep up the good work.
This is the best ramen in Cleveland hands down. The noodles are a wonderful texture and the broth is delicious. I’m so happy this restaurant is here and is contributing to an Asiatown renaissance.
This restaurant is also very casual and is a great spot to visit if you’re eating alone.
Ramen was warm. Not enough broth in the ramen. Ingredients in the ramen were cold. Order was not organize. Drinks was the only thing that was good.
Delicious! Spicy miso has a nice kick to it and was delicious!
The regular tonkotsu is more on the lighter flavor, but has a great taste as well.
The 2D decor is a nice interesting touch that makes it a cute little spot to take pictures.
Service: Workers were very friendly and took their time.
Food: The black garlic ramen was underwhelming in terms of flavor. I was expecting a robust rich flavor. The Tonkotsu was a bit tastier.
Atmosphere: chill spot.
Honestly, I would give this place a try, but would not be a repeat offender.
