Alpine Hills Museum reviews
13Loved the displays and the audio at them! Very nice layout and great collections of historical items. A must see in Sugarcreek!
A great collection of artifacts, really interesting and beautifully displayed. Definitely worth stopping by when you're in the area
Great visit! Interesting cultural information, tools, clothes, industries of the people that came to the area and settled. There is a small gift shop inside.
Located diagonally across the street from the World's Largest Cuckoo Clock.
The 2 ladies that were there were friendly and knowledgeable. Helped me with finding a cuckoo clock repairperson. Finding a good place to eat.
There is no charge to visit the museum, but a donation would be greatly welcomed to help with keeping the museum going.
One of the best organized museums we have ever been to. The three floors are laid out strategically, with items from community members. While at the museum you can check out the world's largest cuckooclock which is across the street. In other words take a stroll around this village in Ohio's Amish district.
A great museum with friendly staff. It’s free to visit. If you want to purchase from their gift shop they accept cash or check. No cards.
Lots of really neat artifacts. There are three floors of stuff to see. It is free, but they ask for donations to keep it running. I had no issue tossing 20 bucks in the jar. It's important to fund museums and preserve local history. My family enjoyed it. We probably spent between 30 and 40 minutes to see the whole thing.
Great museum with multiple floors full of amazing pieces and lots to learn. Entry is free but I highly recommend leaving a donation as I felt there was an abundance of different things to see and everything was very well kept.
Visited over Labor Day Holiday very facinating history of SugarCreek would be willing to come back
Loved it! So glad we stopped by. It's bigger on the inside and filled with history. What a great time. Really friendly staff and curator. Hopefully Fritz will be upstairs playing the instruments.
A lovely hidden gem, right across the street from the wolds largest cuckoo clock. So much to see here, it's very nicely done and very informative. I highly recommend a stop here.
No cover. Accepting donations. Glad we did the self guided tour. Don't skip. Bathroom inside
This museum deserves way more attention. You pay what you would like and there are three floors. Lots of local antiques.
Nice small town historical museum. Displays are nicely arranged with many local artifacts and clearly locals donating family heirlooms. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Love the exterior charm. Would recommend going and making a donation to support their efforts. Be sure to visit the Sugarcreek Bulk Food store for nice selection of cheeses and meats and good prices. Sugarcreek is home to The world's largest Cuckoo clock, strikes every half hour.
