Altercare Lanfair, Lancaster OH

I was so thankful my mother got to do her rehab here after a short hospital stay. I have worked in LTC for 20 years so I am familiar with the process of how an admission to a facility should be and how a rehab hall should run. Lanfair was above and beyond any other facility we have used. The admission process was smooth- room was clean and prepared. Vitals and weight immediately taken, skin assessed and meds reviewed. Thank you Hannah the nurse. I didn’t catch the aides name but they were wonderful as well. My Mom was cleaned, dressed and up in her chair whenever I came in to visit. Therapy was wonderful and answered all my question I had throughly. Dr. Varney the medical director is amazing and I’m thankful for his input and care. Alisha the social worker helped set up an easy, well planned discharge and did a great job communicating with me. I also appreciate help of Jo the TCU director. We will definitely use Lanfair in the future if needed.

Looks are very deceiving, this place looks clean and nice but the place is a mess. Workers are apathetic and uncaring. The administration is useless. They over dosed our father on his heart meds, used an unsealed opened Insulin pen on him that didn't even belong to him. They lied over and over again as to the treatment that he was receiving! They lied and covered their butts with so many different things it is scary, they will kill someone with this kind of behavior and I doubt anyone there would even care. Run, take your loved one elsewhere because once they are admitted it is very hard to get a patient moved to another rehab home, lots of paperwork and out of pocket for the move.

I just started here and completed my third day of training the men and women I worked with so far has been an amazing experience, the STNAs I trained with showed the residents the upmost respect that anyone should receive and treated them like family and provided the best care! The facilities clean and up to date! I recommend you send your loved ones here

This is one of the cleanest and caring nursing facilities I have ever visited. It is very professional, yet at the same time they seem very considerate of the residents.

My blind mother gets excellent care here at Lanfair on Speret Hall. The nurses and nursing assistants are very caring and always helping. The physical therapy staff are very attentive to her needs as well. The activities staff are always providing programs and activities to keep residents involved. Mom says "The food is mostly good here" and if she does not like what is served, there is always an alternative. I would definitely reccomend this fine facility. Both my parents previously had rehabilitation stays after hospital stays here in years past with good results. Now Mom lives here full time and I feel confident she is in good hands.

Lanfair has been a lifesaver for my husband and I. We needed a place for him to go to rehab that he wouldn’t hate. Lanfair has well exceeded our expectations. The staff, from aides to nursing, to rehab, to administration has been so loving and caring. They truly go up and beyond the call of duty. It’s such a relief to go home at night knowing he is in good hands. Thank you Lanfair for being there for both or us.
