Amarone Italian Restaurant reviews
19Great place. I'll be back. Highly recommended. The place feels great but the food is better.
Sea bass was great, u fortunately it was the special and not a regular menu item. My wife had ravioli and she loved it. They're sauces your very good on both dishes.
For such a small reasturant the atmosphere was great.
Awesome food and service. Wine selection excellent with old school Italian ambiance for dining room. Would recommend to anyone for traditional authentic Italian cuisine and feeling like home.
We are still at the restaurant right now and this place is amazing! I love the service, she is very sweet and helpful. Also foods are AMAZING. The garlic bread is FANTASTIC! I highly recommend it. Thank you so much! I will stop by again when I am in Ohio.
Most amazing, homemade, decadent italian weve had in a long time. Awesome service too! Highly recommend
I took my family of five here thinking it was going to be a great night of supporting a local business while on vacation. Our experience couldn't have been further from the truth. When we arrived, we were greeted with nothing but complete rudeness. There were only two tables occupied and when I told him we were a party of five instead of three that he thought, he slammed the menus on a table and complained he needed to put tables together. He rudely said "why didn't you make a reservation, you should've made a reservation? " Keep in mind the restaurant was almost empty. He kept raising his voice and making a scene in front of all the other customers. I simply said we'll leave, which he replied, "good". It all happened so fast and we left with shocked at how we were treated.
Easily one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. This is a mom-and-pop locally-owned authentic Italian restaurant and it doesn't break the bank. 10 out of 10. I can't wait to come back.
Extremely rude chef/owner.we could hear him being rude to the other service workers and refused extra sauce to a customer who asked for it.very overpriced and poor atmosphere! Chicken alfredo was very runny and nothing seem to be authentic italian.don't waste your time, find somewhere else to go or get some food from speedway!
Sausage is good. Service is awful. Food is pretty good. Good enough to ignore the Service because you don't have many choices in this area.
I wish the female waiter would have taken our food order and not her husband. When he came to our table, asked us what we wanted, my 9 year old son began to order when the owner put his hand out towards my son, finger pointing and said shhh, your mother will order. It was embarrassing for my son, and for all of us. My kids have worked hard at ordering properly at restaurants, and to be shut down by someone who thinks kids should not order is demeaning.
The female waitress was very nice to my 6 year old daughter, helping her clean up after she spilled her drink. Food was good, but the overall experience was tainted by our experience of the owner’s rudeness.
The owner is a disgusting, rude, unacceptable excuse for society. Absolutely the worst restaurant I've ever been too.
Me and my family just came here from Illinois. We found this place and waited in line. Someone told us we had to call ahead for reservations so my father called the number posted. The owner then proceeded to yell at my father for not calling “3 hours ahead! ”. The poor server then had to close the doors on us because the owner told them to. Will not be coming here during our stay. Owner is very rude.
Excellent food and wonderful service. The bruschetta was amazing, as were the gnocchi, eggplant parmigiana, penne ala vodka, spaghetti monte mare, and lasagne. Terrific service also!
We love this place. Everytime we are in town from Illinois we try to stop in. Even though the cook doesn't like altering the order he if very accommodating. We appreciate you guys very much. Thank you.
First choice of restaurant was closed (when indicated online that it was open), tried three other restaurants with minimum 40 minute wait and finally came upon this place; what a gem! Only two employees (chef and waitress) managed the rush that came after us and served excellent food to boot!
Me and my family came here from Chicago expecting a nice Italian dinner but we were greeted with much hostility. Owner is rude and very unwelcoming
The most authentic Italian food found outside of Italy! A true Italian family restaurant. The Manicotti was outstanding and Penne Pasta with Italian sausage was excellent! The waitstaff was attentive, the food was reasonably priced, you can’t ask anything more if Italian is your thing.
A few tips.the owner is super rude. Don't call in an order when the owner is busy. Don't mispronounce the name of a food item. Don't even think about asking the flavors of Gelato- they are very busy and cannot check for you. Be prepared to wait at least an hour-the food is "made from scratch" but it doesn't really taste like that. After hearing that, we certainly expected more. The owner of a restaurant should not make you feel like your order is a huge inconvenience.
Went here for my 1 year anniversary and was very happy with our choice. Food was delicious and the service was great. Prices were also very reasonable and pleasantly surprising. Will go here again and would recommend to anyone who wants real Italian food.
