Amma's Kitchen reviews
15Amma's Kitchen is a decent spot for Indian cuisine. The authenticity is there, but the food was just okay, not outstanding. The menu provides a variety of options, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Worth a visit if you're in the mood for Indian food, but don't expect a culinary masterpiece.
Amma’s kitchen is nice for Vegetarians, here u can have Lunch buffet, South Indian items are good comparison to North Indian food is not that much tasty, but I like South Indian & it’s authentic. Idli, Samber, Vada Rasam, Masala Dosa, Mysore Dosa, veg biriyani is so tasty, desserts are also good.
Love this quaint restaurant. Went twice, First time was ala carte and other was buffet. All you can eat buffet had all types of tiffin and lunch with salad and desserts. Worth every penny. Taste is very homey. Not spicy but quite tasty
As a South Indian, stepping into this restaurant felt like a homecoming. The authenticity of the flavors in their South Indian dishes transported me back to my roots. From the crispy dosas that were perfectly golden to the aromatic sambar that brought a burst of nostalgia, every bite was a taste of tradition. The impeccable preparation of classics like idli and vada showcased their commitment to culinary excellence. It's a rare find to encounter such genuine South Indian flavors outside of home, making this restaurant an absolute delight for anyone seeking an authentic and heartwarming dining experience.
Amma's Kitchen is my favorite! Everything on the menu is incredible. I love the variety of amazing vegan options (and how clearly they label them)! The people there are unbelievably warm, friendly, and accommodating. I can’t recommend it enough!
Great restaurant. They cater to the vegan community with vegan Wednesdays. They have a daily all you can eat buffet for a very reasonably price. This place is very popular. I recently took 4 of my colleagues, some who hadn't ever had Indian food. They were all very impressed. We ate until we couldn't eat anymore.
Restaurant appears to be run as a family business. They are lightly staffed, but extremely attentive and won't keep you waiting. One of the best places to have great food, lots of food, at a great price and without a pretentious atmosphere.
The food was good but I had never had endion food before so I didn't know what to get and I had a lot of questions and no one was actually able to help me they just told me come back when they do lunch because it's a butt face that out and I can learn the dishes that they have
Wonderful! My stepfather is South Indian and he said this is greatfully authentic. He was able to order us food from his state and really teach us about the foods he grew up with.
I took my wife and daughter to lunch yesterday and we all got the buffet. I loved everything I tasted there (and probably ate more than I should have (my waistline didn't appreciate it.) The food is super tasty and favorable. I like spicy and I ate all the spicy items on the menu and delighted in them all. Its kosher and the manager was super pleasant helpful and friendly. The only shortcoming is, its 40 minutes away from where I work, so I cant go there for lunch every day. The three of us ate the all you can eat buffet and it was around 10 dollars a person. Very reasonable priced and worth it.
My fav spot for South indian food. Good quality food, good hospitality, nice regional music.
Love this vegetarian restaurant! It's a hidden gem in Cincy. Authentic South Indian cuisine in a family run place, a great opportunity to try new things. The uttapam are especially good! Love that they have some Indian-Chinese selections. The buffet is great too if you go at that time. They keep it clean and fresh.
Incredibly good food and very good prices as well, honestly some of the best prices I've seen in a while for that quality. I'm from Kerala and man, this was delicious.
I am a south indian who lived in Massachusetts for 7 years. After years of abuse by restaurants in Massachusetts, now I can peacefully enjoy authentic south indian dishes. Chef Hari knows how to satisfy the customers with his craft. Great job all around. This might be my favorite place to eat casually as long as I stay in cincinnati.
Restaurant is very dirty. I was uncomfortable touching the door which looks like it has never been cleaned. Floor is filthy. I wonder how clean the kitchen is. Food was ok. Had better at other Indian restaurants.
As someone who’s always looking for vegan food that’s not just a veggie burger and fries, this place is perfect. I love trying new food, especially Indian food. I’ve come here several times for the lunch buffet on Wednesdays and also ordered delivery. The price can’t be beat. Everything I’ve tried is so flavorful and tastes authentic. I highly recommend the Gobi Manchurian, Chana Masala, Chapati, and everything on the buffet.
