AngeNettas Cafe Restaurant reviews
19I normally do not leave a review that is this bad, but I was really unimpressed with this restaurant. We love supporting locally owned businesses as opposed to large chain restaurants, but we may not come back. We arrived and the greeter asked if we had a reservation, which we did not know we needed one. She rolled her eyes and said it would be a 10 minute wait. We were fine with that. Until 3 other couples came in after us, who also did not have reservations, but seemed to know her. She told them to have a seat and she'd get them in no problem. I guess you have to know them to get friendly service. We sat there for a half hour while tables were cleared and the one server looked like she was going to seat us, but had a very large conversation about how the greeter wanted to seat the other people first. So we were finally seated at the tiniest table shoved at the last minute at the end of a party of 8 people who did not look happy to have us there. We waited another 40 minutes for the food to come, during which time we had 2 slices of bread. I had the cavatelli with light sauce. It came with exactly 2 Tablespoons of sauce. My friend asked for a cheeseburger well done. His came burnt on the outside and almost rare on the inside. The waiter looked like he didn't even want to be there, so we declined to say anything. I didn't realize how stuck up this place actually was. We won't be back.
It's a beautiful place that I never knew we had in Canfield. The food was really good. The server was not very attentive.
First time based off my daughters recommendation. Nice initial impression, hostess kept our drinks filled. Food took literally one hour, during this time no update or apology from anyone. I asked to see the manager, a middle aged lady with blond hair, could have been the owner. She was very rude about the situation and only offered excuses such as everyone else has their food and the serving staff was still learning, very argumentative and obviously did not care about our concerns at all. The food was average and seemed quick cooked, we will stick with Scarsellas, best Italian food in the area. We will never come back to this place.
Excellent food in a great family restaurant. Salmon specials are to die for, and the U-10 diver scallops, when on special are always exceptional. Also one of the best homemade French Onion Soups you'll ever have. Desserts are top notch.especially the rice pudding. Highly recommended
My boyfriend and I have always been to the same restaurants, but we wanted to try something different. A friend recommended AngeNettas, so we decided to go for dinner. LOVED it. The food was amazing. One of the best I’ve ever had. Definitely recommend and will be returning!
Arrived at restaurant was seated with in 10 minutes, was give menu and drink, after waiting 30 minutes for a waiter or waitress we got up left without being served. This restaurant came highly recommended to us, but I will never go back, can’t comment on the food, never go to eat, very disappointed.
Everything was super yummy.everyone was very friendly & helpful.will absolutely come again when im back in town
This was the first time eating at AngeNettas. The food was DELICIOUS, the staff was very friendly. It was a lunch date with family and friends. Had I know about AngeNettas, being in Canfield for many years visiting my sister, the late Sister Theerese Ann Rich, OSU at The Ursuline Motherhiuse, I would have dined there sooner. Will definitely make it a point to return. It's not a long drive from Conneaut, Ohio.
Decent place for an Italian meal. Went after given strong recommendation but found food to only be mediocre. The cheesecake, however, was excellent! Place was busy with what looked to be mostly locals. Service was pretty good but large number patrons likely resulted in not particularly fast service but was still adequate. Travelled from 20 min away so I’d likely find a different restaurant next time if I was going out of town.
The food is excellent but service is not very good. We got there around 4: 00 and there were only 3 tables with customers. We waited to get seated for about 5 minutes as employees walked by and did not even acknowledge us. Then waited for a server to wait on us for approximately 20 minutes. Waved to one server waiting on a table close by and she just waved back and kept on walking. They acted like we weren’t even there, Our server was attentive when he finally waited on us.
I've been to AngeNettas many times and always had great food. Last night, I got a special called Chicken Bruschetta and it was excellent.
Great dinner catching up with several friends from high school days. The Chicken Marsala and cheesecake desserts were delicious, and the staff took excellent care of our sizable group. Will definitely be back!
First time and last went to pay my bill bill was 57.00 not bad just left the bank had 5 20's in my wallet gave bartender 80.00 brought back 3 told him I gave him 80 told me it was sixty you know how this turned out guess he thought I was leaving a 3 dollar tip that's why I gave 80 needed change be careful they will take your money
Best meal ain a verrrrry long time!
Calamari so fresh, cream of mushroom soup, perfect! Filet en Garlic yuuuummmm!
They catered a baby shower and it was outstanding. The food set up and all the servers went above and beyond.
Terrible food, right out of a bag, wedding soup was so bad I sent it back, wouldn't eat there again ever.
If you like good Italian food made in a cozy atmosphere this is your place. They also have a tremendous bakery. All you would expect and more from a family owned local restaurant. Do yourself a favor and try them.
We have not been here in a very long time. It was even better than I remember. All of our food, drinks, appetizers, were very good. We'll be back.
There is a nice wine selection, no draft beer and limited choices of bottles and cans. Manhattan was awful. Calamari was very good. Stuffed peppers were great. Steak sub did not have enough meat to bread ratio and was ok. Salad was fantastic but they ran out of blue cheese dressing. Overall was fair and probably not a return visit.
